  1. Chainsaw pants and t-shirt in the summer same in winter with the addition of a merino wool base layer! It’s all about the merino wool, I even only wear merino wool socks! Waterproof (for clean up), spare t-shirt and a jumper in the van for a dry drive home if wet.
  2. It’s a shame we don’t have a 3rd party that is a serious contender as a party in the centre at the moment would walk it.
  3. None taken i read a few, all apps nowadays, the content maybe skewed to suit an agenda but i though it would make a good topic for tonight as irrelevant of how it is written and by who the message is clear. The one thing party conferences offer us is a chance to scrutinise.
  4. No probs it is why I asked, you have the inside view, biased or not it is probably the best view in this house for us to ask and to use as a base to start an opinion of our own on the subject.
  5. I don’t think anyone really gets offended in this thread, I wouldn’t worry about offence caused too much however you must see the irony in being extreme against the extreme
  6. @eggsarascal am I right in thinking you work/ed for united utilities or similar? What do you make of renationalising water?
  7. http://dailym.ai/2wOnz8o Thoughts?
  8. I’m genuinely interested in why @matelot was in the 3rd world. Some of his views from his experience I concur with as I have seen corruption 1st hand in a 3rd world country too. I do not tar them all with the same brush however as I also saw goodness in a lot of people from the same place. I was working in the 3rd world and ill stick my neck out and presume @matelot was working too and fair enough if this is the case however I am happy for people from the 3rd world to come to the UK to work if they can offer a skill or something we are short on. I really think we should mirror the Oz system for immigration, benefits should be off the table full stop as should the nhs for a number of years, health insurance a legal obligation for a number of years then when a contribution pot has been built up nhs access. I think we have a lot of non British doctors and medical staff to use an obvious example and I commend them and respect them as they come here to make a difference to their lives and in the process they make a difference to ours! In summary we need people in this country and people who want to come to this country to pay for the privilege so we can stay great (couldn’t help the cliche) Britain as we have future generations to think about not just us in the here and now.
  9. @matelot why where you in the 3rd world?

    Rates

Everybody values their time and skill sets differently, I pay people different rates to do the same job based their efforts, skill sets and attitudes. Look after the good ones and they’ll help you out whenever you need it or they’ll stick around, under value them at your peril.
  11. Turkish Hazel I intend to agree. Answer @Steve Bullman ?
  12. Cup of Yorkshire for me.
  13. Got to be honest I am rather ignorant to the whole Israel/Palestine conflict in the sense of I know nothing about the conflict or the history there but I have to say that is a scary graphic!
  14. I'm glad he stayed true to himself and was honest regardless of the backlash and possible damage to his career, in my book that takes guts. If he has crack pot views (your words) based on his religious beliefs what about the crack pot views that come from other religions? Food for thought, he gave his view but also stated the law wouldn't change and accepted that women can and do have the right to make their own choice. He gave his view but accepted others, (one could argue he has demonstrated multiculturalism) you and others are claiming he is extreme with crack pot views. (One could argue narrow minded and can't accept multi cultures)
  15. Nobody is making them do anything. Right here goes ..... multiculturalism is supposedly where all races religions and creeds etc etc etc integrate and get on regardless of beliefs with respect for each other's beliefs in the same street, village, town, city, country again etc etc now on this thread especially we have people defending this and people opposed to this normally through the immigration argument. Now I'm not saying your extreme eggs in any way (genuinely know your not) but surely being against someone's religious view as you are to moggs is proof multiculturalism doesn't work on a very basic argumentative level yet people oppose matelots views to stop 3rd world immigration!? Now if we allow other religions from the 3rd world to live amongst us do you think you'll agree with their religions and beliefs? Sharia law is already being practised in the UK is this ok? Confused. Absolutely cant believe I have just kind of defended matelot
  16. I'm not going to insult your intelligence this thread is littered with hypocrisy.
  17. Mogg does not oppose abortion he just disagrees with it. To me he is in a no win situation he is in a corner and is having what fits piers morgans agenda dragged out of him. He sticks to HIS morals and at the very least has the back bone to be honest. Im sure his beliefs are based on his religion which in this instance is horrendous how dare those Catholics!!! Strange how we defend the Koran yet throw stones at the bible.
  18. Hi my name is Spartacus.

Steve do you find the scafells a tight fit or do the break in well? Boots have come today and I'm unsure, I'm a 9 tried a mates on in a 10 and thought wayyy too big my new ones in a 9 feel very snug. If they break in I'll keep them if not I'll send them back for something else. Thanks

Time for a new pair, what are we all wearing? Looking at scafel lights.
  21. Thanks for sorting that mess out, phew war averted!
  22. Personally think China and Russia should sort this one. Jong Un the wrong 'un is clearly goading Trump into a war and I fear without intervention soon from elsewhere Jong Un will get his wish. It it could be worse it could have happened in the Bush/Blair era!!!
  23. North Korea, what are people's thoughts on what is going on? What should, if anything, be done? By who? Etc.
  24. I would want more than £100 a day for dragging and chipping using all my own kit.
  25. If the USA landed on the moon in 69 how come no one has done it since in our tech advancing world? Imagine the research that could be done with today's equipment and the pictures and videos would be amazing!
