  1. No changes have really been made yet. We are still in the EU, it is going to take 5 or 6 years after we leave to find out if it was worth it. That pretty much takes us too 2024-2025 before we should take stock and have a look at where we are. One thing I think we could do without is all of the scaremongering as it is what it is we are coming out end of so why don't we embrace it and make the most out of this opportunity and start identifying the positives! Some of our practices already in place are pretty shocking so instead of going on about how bad chlorinated chicken is why don't we identify and promote more farms here or better places to import from. People are scared of change and don't really want it even if it is for the better, I use this forum upgrade as an example, in a few months however when people settle and adjust they'll love this new forum upgrade! Just a few thoughts....
  2. I agree prune away, they flower on last years growth so ideally as soon as they have finished flowering prune them but there's still enough time to give it a prune and for it to still generate new growth.

Yes definitely mostly pidgeons too. Does it it annoy you more when it's pidgeons say than blackbirds or songbirds etc. ?

Priced a euc up today, pidgeon sat on the nest! Great . . . in the diary for later then.
  8. No probs.
  9. I have a petzl Grillon you can have for £45 posted. You'll need to use your own rope and karabiners. Its a good device to use for a lanyard however I have just moved over from all petzl to all ART. https://youtu.be/o5TT8mKUWV4
  10. You have hit forum and chosen a sub forum etc. Forget all that just press the page button with 3 lines on it and it's kind of a timeline button it shows the posts with recent activity and a bit more detail. Give us a shout if your stuck and I'll try to do a picture guide.
  11. Pretty sure it says fjmatt under the thread title with the number of responses and how long ago the last post was made.

  14. Are they worth the money? Link pulley or cocoon? Is there any difference? Thanks.
  15. Cheers Steve! Great job so far
  16. Steve any chance the general chat, +, page, search icon bar can be fixed so when you have read the comments in the thread you can press the page icon to go back instead of scrolling back up through the comments to go back. Hope that makes sense.
  17. Should be an interesting thread this. We we have a decent 1st aid box which generally has bits of everything in. It is not really arb specific so I'll read this and add to mine as appropriate. Remember Jomoco? What happened to him, this thread would have definitely peaked his interest. I'm sure that guy towed an ambulance with him
  18. I think it's great now! It's a bit like going from a prussic to a mechanical device takes a few days to click then
  19. Your welcome Mull, I struggled at first and didn't like the changes but have to say I'm quite liking it now, definitely growing on me. If in doubt just press the timeline button
  20. The American doctor had helped someone in a very similar situation with the same problems as Charlie and they had responded well to treatment. Vesp we are not talking any doctors we are talking the popes and a guy from America with experience and positive results in such acute cases. If if you would have been at one with not exploring those 2 stones that's your choice I'd have explored them out of hope and love. To to be fair with hindsight it made no difference to the end result but at least they tried. We we will definitely be of differing opinion on this one so this is my last post with regards to Charlie as I won't change your opinion nor you mine so let's stop making the same points in different ways as I for one have no issues with the actions his parents took nor do I have any issues with how you would have handled the situation if it was you in their shoes. Hindsight is is a wonderful tool we never have the use of in real time.
  21. True but when other doctors want to take a look and offer hope i.e. The yank and the pope you have a duty to explore those avenues. We are all different but knowing I had explored every option and the end result was the same I'm sure time would heal somewhat and my conscience would be clean. Again it's easy looking from the outside in, I couldn't imagine having to live through what those parents have gone through.
  22. I'm growing to like the new layout. I'm on iPhone and I just press the page icon with the 3 lines on it which seems to be from what I can gather the timeline of where people are posting.
  23. Easy for us to say as outsiders but they where looking for hope in hindsight where there was none but still I'd have acted the same, no way would I live with myself if I had made the decision to say enough is enough.
