  1. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have now for 2 days and that's my biggest gripe with them! As a back up yes great but all summer between tree jobs no I don't think they would do you any good long term. I think they are a great back up pair to save on down time. I bought them as a new head for the stihls was more than the cobras cost so I thought sharpen and service I'll try the cobras with a Kawasaki engine why the stihls are getting done. No down time. They work well but I can't shake (no pun intended) the anti havs off it would bother me long term BUT as a back up used sparingly yes they are great.
  2. Can you tell us what's going to happen if we stay?
  3. There is a reason we are treated like mushrooms! If I was on that payroll I'd spout sh!t too!
  4. The cobras are pretty much a lesser version of stihl but for the money quite impressive! I have used them 2 days running now and I'm quietly impressed for the price! They are a nice back up pair to the stihls but absolutely not a replacement.
  5. What is your weapon of choice? Took our Stihls in for a sharpen and service and couldn't help buy a set of Cobra long handles with a Kawasaki engine, £225. They seem ok built sturdy cut well but should as they are brand new but the lack of anti vibe is probably where your extra dollars go on a top pair. All in all they'll make a good back up set to the stihls.
  6. I would girdle the ivy at the bottom let it die then suggest a thin, if the trees are healthy that would let more light pass through and keep the trees in good health. If the trees are covered in ivy can you see any possible defects?
  7. What about the millions of boards of cedar cladding plastered over buildings all over the place? I see loads of cedar cladding on schools nowadays as well as new buildings in town/city centres, how is this allowed as surely it is also flammable?
  8. If Mr Hammond is correct then surely every signature that signed the work off should be under investigation. Surely that negligence helped the fire spread. They are however not to blame for the fire surely the blame lies with the faulty appliance and falls under the term ACCIDENT.
  9. Due to the circumstances the developers did a deal with the government/council on the price they sold them at cost price £10m for 68 flats that would have retailed at £160m Now after Corbyn has spouted he'd steal from the rich or claim squatters rights I wander if he'll give this deal any praise?!
  10. Can't believe you know who Chuck Norris is if your only 17! 👍
  11. I'll try again the rich are richer and the poor are poorer. Who are the rich and who are the poor?
  12. Again people keep saying the rich are richer and the poor poorer but who are the richer people and who are the poorer?
  13. 👍 In financial terms though who do we consider the poorest people and who do we consider the richest?
  14. Who are the poorest people? Who are the richest people?
  15. I had to tie in on a steep banking last week it worked a treat!
  16. Yes but who gives a toss😏
  17. If May has to step down due to not winning a majority should Corbyn also step down due to not winning a majority?
  18. If it is it's back to the 70's we go!
  19. Yes that's looking horrendous for tories.
  20. Anybody else see the poll?
  21. I was skiing in December last 2 days got vertigo bad we went to a nearby resort for a change at the time I didn't know it was vertigo it come on on the bus ride there and weren't for leaving when we got to nearby resort I give my mate €50 for my lift pass why I stumbled into a cafe for some choc and a sugared coffee to see if that would sort me out (I only get sugar naturally from food) it didn't I sent the lads to do a run top to bottom still no difference I knew I couldn't ski so I caught the bus back to hotel but 1st I donated my pass to a local who had come to ski the day with his kid. Karma and all that.
  22. I can't see a poll???
  23. Sky news on at 10 I think to get a feel then just wake up to the results I suppose. Do the Scots amongst us think kranky will walk it up their again?
  24. This is a quiet thread tonight.
  25. IMO dead wooding or thinning is the best we can do for a tree, most tree work is the beginning of the end and we can all follow best practice but let's not get all high and mighty we all harm trees everyday. Any pruning cut = harming tree and a lot of us do it for a living. Just saying.
