  1. It’s a toss up between Piers Morgan and Harry Hill, both t\/\/@s!
  2. No probs, its easy mate and makes a great difference!
  3. You could always ask him if the works can be completed at your cost?
  4. In this case you can fly over the lawn twice to take it down in stages not letting the mower be greedy it’s just as quick as bagging off by the time you’ve stop started and emptied the bag a few times and the end result is still a cracking finish.
  5. The model I provided you with is a mulcher and honestly you can not tell the grass has not been bagged off the finish is that good. Bagged mowers are dead to me now! Viking mulchers are the future!
  6. No definitely not toys, the mowers are pricey but worth every penny the finish is unbelievable and they cut well in all weather.
  7. Vikings really are awesome mowers the 1 I recommended really is 1 for all.
  8. Isn’t gas safe mandatory to be able to work with gas where as you don’t need to be AA approved to work with trees? The problem you have (bluntly) is if you can’t accumulate to speculate on the marketing why should people take notice of you. You could be all over social media maybe you are to make people aware of your accreditation. You could offer a small fee towards house builders for using AA approved firms who knows ... Your numbers where 200 and odd businesses what market share does that equate too? Accreditation is a great concept to help drive and deliver standards within the industry and I really hope it grows and becomes standard which is what you want but I can’t help but feel your going to have to spend a lot to get there.
  9. Viking MB 4 RTP Excellent mowers in all conditions.
  10. Spiderjack 3 for me. Zig zag’s are good but they eat gloves and they don’t self tend as well. Im planning on doing a review on the SJ3 next week so I’ll save my feedback for then.
  11. Thanks by the way!
  12. Ahhh ok so the gap is what it is, seems quite big compare to other chippers.
  13. Also does anyone know what the gap is supposed to be between blades and anvil? It seems awfully big.
  14. So do you take the box off or rollers out of the box?
  15. Yes that is strange! In my workshop manual they seem to be in the right place for mine. There seems to be a few variations for these Jensens!
  16. I have recently purchased one at a cracking price and I am really going through it, at the moment it is in bits ready to be sandblasted/rubbed down and resprayed. Anyway to the point, what is the clearance supposed to be from blades to anvil? Also how do you change the anvil? Is there an easier way than a massive breakdown I’m thinking the bottom roller has to come out to get to the anvil? Any help appreciated!
  17. The throttle cable sort of works back to front in that when you push the lever forwards the cable tightens therefore compressing the spring taking the revs off. When you pull the lever the cable slackens therefore the spring extends pushing the rod with is connected to the pump giving you more revs. As far as I can see there is not much room for adjustment other than replacing the spring or shortening the cable.
  18. Yes parts only mate, not hard to change over though.
  19. Let me save a few people posting:- - dont bother stick to what your already doing - arb work is awful and underpaid - you’ll make more stacking shelves - theres that many doing it now you wont get enough work - any work you do get will drive the industry price down - you do realise you’ll have to work in the rain and all kinds of weather - when you need to employ subbies or groundies there are none - what if you dont like it so dont try it - maybe offer your services free of charge for some experience over the next 20 years to see if you like it - your probably too old - you wont be fit enough - if you cant afford a Land Rover or brand new van with a new chipper dont bother Im sure I have missed some! Seriously though if you can graft and enjoy the work start off with whatever jobs you get in and feel comfy with, take your reputation serious re-invest in yourself and get friendly with guys who’s already in the game so if you look at jobs you cant handle yet get them to do them by subbing to you or give them the jobs on the basis that you do a day for them on the jobs. You have to work outside your comfort zone to raise your level of comfort. Hope you like it and all the best!

Haha yes mate I’m sick of seeing you there How are the jackets?
  21. Decision makers often become power mad and power hungry in all walks of life professionalism is a two way street. In this instance it matters not but there is a reason why there is a cut off of 6 months regardless of intentions. I intend on on becoming a billionaire not too sure that will happen though.
  22. I run these chains on a few of our saws now and they are good for the money. They do stretch after first use but after that they stay the same and after a quick nip up they are fine. Overall, good chains. I run an 18 inch bar on one saw and it’s just ok it’s a bit flimsy in the cut compared to others but for the use that particular saw gets it’s fine I can live with it. Overall, I prefer other bars. In summary I’ll continue to purchase chains from northern arb.
  23. Yes parts delivered. It isn’t a hard task to change them. I was pretty full on today but ill post pics tomorrow.
