  1. Comparing an EU migrant to a UK citizen is like for like depending on salary surely however you chose to compare your migrant against a whole family kids and parents included without the use of a plural? That’s like bending facts to suit your argument is it not? I didn’t get a reply on yesterday’s post so I’m not too hopeful on one here either. If however we use your logic then surely 1 EU migrant will not pay as much tax as the UK citizen his/her kids when they grow up plus the tax the folks already paid?! I have nothing against immigration on the whole however I think we should have a points/skills based criteria ala Australia so our nation truly benefits. Just a thought when immigrants come here to earn and leave their family’s at home be it parents or spouse and kids do you think the salary earned stays in the UK economy or do they send percentages of their salary home?
  2. Out of interest and for the sake of this forum is there any chance you can find out the price they were charged to remove the tree?
  3. Sooooooo a groundy earns £80 for an 8-12 hour shift yet someone on a stump grinder gets £800 for 1 stump half a day?!?!?! WTF
  4. I blame it all on brexit! Bloody thing!
  5. Good post with common (rare) sense and rationale.
  6. 26.9% is still a large number of our population. Is it factually correct to call that amount of people retards or is this an insult because you can’t explain their reasons for voting without using the usual drivel churned out by camp remain? Being small doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. Is success measured on size? Our armed forces wouldn’t think so. Freedom of movement (as an example) is completely different to the power of a vacuum cleaner. Laws and specs different. To stick with vacuums as an example dyson could have 2 motors to fit 1 product, powerful motor to sell to uk. Weak EU motor to sell to EU. Simple really. Point being remain camp see the EU as this big stable block that we should continue to be a part of. It’s not it contains lots of countries struggling wrapped tightly by a belt that’s just about holding them together. Is Greece a growing nation on the road to recovery? Youth unemployment is atrocious across the EU a lot of individual nations are hardly nations to envy. Why is the EU squeezing us for every penny just to talk? Could they be in trouble financially when they know they can no longer depend on our ever increasing amounts of money? Exactly the EU is huge yet small %’s like the car manufacturers are warning the EU that purposely hurting us will hurt them which in turn it will hurt the EU. How many jobs does the car market have because of our purchasing power? People will always want to deal with the UK whether we are in or out of Europe because if you have a product to sell an I am willing to purchase it my money is as good as anybody else’s and at its most basic it is the likes of you selling to I not government to government that matters. Holland will still supply our nurseries with plants, shrubs and trees long after these debates have finished.
  7. Out of curiosity, if we go and make a good go of it and do well do people still think there will be an EU bloc in 10-15 years? Will Greece and the likes carry on being broke or make a go of it on their own?
  8. So more than half of our population are desperate and a bit retarded? “Just because something has changed doesn’t mean it will be better” nor does it mean it will be worse. Making things to EU spec to sell is different to having EU laws. Dont forget people Austria have just had a massive change in leader. France too granted he’s pro EU. Germany have a coalition of 3 and can’t agree anything between them ...... these EU nations aren’t exactly stable and yes their combined economy is bigger but a lot of these nations are dictated too on interest rates and the likes so buying power is mixed nation to nation within the EU. German car manufacturers are a small drop in the EU ocean yet they are pleading to not punish us as it punished them, why is this? People have an awful habit of underselling the UK!
  9. @Rich Rule genuinely interested in what Norwegians think by the way as they are non biased as they are neither in or out so to speak. When I was skiing in solden last year I was asking guys we got chatting to in lifts etc and opinions seemed to be 50/50! A lot of the Germans wernt happy though at the levels of immigration in Germany when Merkel opened the gates, local crime was shooting up in their opinions of Course.
  10. Fair enough, that was my point though more will come to replace what has left the same will happen in London except the markets are largely successful for large firms. Out of interest have you asked locals and norwegian friends if they’d like to be part of the EU like the UK is? If so what are their thoughts and do they think we are doing right by ourselves in coming out or do they think we are making a mistake?
  11. I’d hazard a guess another company took it’s place!
  12. Bingo and although the rest of the countries have caught up on infrastructure we still lead in terms of latency giving the leading firms .hundreds of seconds advantage over others. Doesn’t sound a lot but it is still an advantage, this was a small draw but made these firms millions/billions. The financial markets will continue whether we are in or out of the EU and a lot of people argue it is Britain’s main source of income, if the big firms leave others will take their place the world will still spin the sun will still rise yes we will encounter turbulence but so will the EU and what no one can know for sure or predict is how long it will be for or who will prosper the most it is all guess work on guess work. UK plc will have to and continue to invest in its own infrastructure to keep us at the leading edge, do people think once we are out that’s it? Time to give up? I dont, it will only be the beginning after all it is then and only then when we will have a point to prove. One good trait about the British of old is our competitiveness and determination. The tree game is the same how many times do we see the start up, is their too many, what should I be paid etc etc threads on here, they all boil down to us wanting to be the best, grow build a reputation based on skill and and do the best we can! I really wish we would stop making things hard and start to put heads together on how we can be the best UK plc outside of the EU.
  13. What of the world? People have no faith in the UK to do well outside of the EU and a few have mentioned larger companies are making provisions and are readying to move from London to the EU but do people know why London was such a draw in the first place?
  14. Do people know why London is considered the best financial trading city in the world?
  15. Personally I think Brits are generally ignorant towards wanting to learn other languages where as the rest of the world are not. Just because a lot of Europeans speak English doesn’t mean they decided to learn it as it’s the worlds leading language! Usually Europeans who speak English also speak 2 or 3 other languages as well as their native language. We take it for granted that others speak English so we can get by - ignorant.
  16. Again fair enough ......... Better wages, better standard of living for me and the family with better prospects. So far it hasn't been all plain sailing but I truly believe we have made the correct decision for our future. Isn’t this a good enough reason to vote out? You became disenchanted with things whilst we where/are in the EU.
  17. Sorry rich that’s why I didn’t quote you to aim at you, you come out with narrow minded, Vespasian called brexit voters retards. My point was people are calling half of the nation something negative be it narrow minded or retards yet in truth we’ll all know people who voted both ways who are anything but narrow minded or retarded. I know now your family held a bearing but you still chose a country not in the EU and not in the UK.
  18. Fair enough Rich. I am not quoting you because the rest of this post is not aimed at you directly but I suppose it is in part ... The one thing that has started to strike me as alarming with remainers is that you guys are writing off half of the country with spite whether it’s retards, narrow minded, dumb, stupid etc etc it’s the same in real life as is on here yet I find that to be untrue I for one voted leave as did others on this board and if I come across in any of my posts be it brexit or arb related as a retard or narrow minded I apologise in advance but my IQ and that of others I know who voted leave would suggest otherwise. Now personally I wouldn’t class someone who voted for let’s be honest an unknown opportunity as narrow minded!? Maybe sticking with the status quo is narrow minded? Who knows. The 2 points I’m getting to:- 1) I know lots of people who voted for both outcomes and I wouldn’t class a single one of them as a retard or narrow minded or anything negative, most of the people I know are hard working and just want what they feel is the best for them and theirs. 2) The spite concerns me because it is these types of thoughts and regards for others that would lead to action against each other in times of hardship/poverty which I alluded to in another post. I am hopeful and quite sure that no one really thinks either side of the argument are retards or narrow minded to use examples from today so in which case why state such? If that is how people think then? Worrying?
  19. Fair enough, where did you choose to go Rich?
  20. Oh hard brexit, soft brexit middle of the road brexit is daft terminology creating by the remoaners to cause doubt and scaremonger there is no such thing. Brexit we are out - British exit! What you refer to as soft is labours version of staying in! Pretend we are out but we stay in free trade and European courts well if they can still override our legal system then we are still ruled by them sooooo still in. Brexit is brexit.
  21. Difference between me and you is I won’t joke about calling half of the nation retards why? Simply it’s not funny! I countered simply how it could be if we stayed in based on guess work and scaremongering much the same as you do the only difference is we can see that the EU want one army and a chancellor to run countries purse strings as they have openly come out and stated this! What we don’t know is how it will be when we are out? China - have said they will deal with us India - the same US, Canada and Mexico - the same Others will follow so how will we do . . . The reason remoaners with money want us to remain is because well they have money and are making it in bucket loads I wouldn’t want to change either. They are scared of the wealth drying up and changing hands as new opportunities present themselves in new markets.
  22. Our army would not lead an EU army similarly to the FACT that our PM doesn’t lead the EU. By 2025 the EU want an EU chancellor of the exchequer to run the EU’s and member states coffers that’s one small step towards devolving member state governments and having one leader, one government for one state with one flag. It is and will be a dictatorship as we won’t elect anybody they will be chosen for us and we will have no choice but to listen and follow their wise words/actions. Our countries names, flags and histories will be a thing of the past. We will have new bank holidays one timezone and in time one language. These wars you mention will be civil wars when the people have had enough and poverty levels have reached new lows across the state, we will create anarchy trying to otherthrow our leaders in desperate need of a change in direction only to find harsh police resistance awaits us with our government in Brussels happy at their work and sense of achievement. Remainders keep telling us how bad it is naive to the FACT that we are NOT out of the EU we are still in! If this is bad think of how bad it will be when we stay in and it goes as described and we have NO options. We will be punished. The EU is a failed state that has gone too far to give up, the poverty in Greece, Italy, Spain and the likes is terrifying and once we have the same currency, interest rate and the likes we will go the same way. Youth unemployment all the way to people in their 40’s is shocking all kept away from the media and limelight why? Vesp you can do as much research as you want based on opinions, scaremongering and guess work but again to wipe half of our nation off as retards well I’m staggered!
  23. There is no evidence of what it will be like, just scaremongering and guess work based on scaremongering and guess work.
