  1. Vesp solid state battery’s will hold charge for longer be charged quicker and are more stable than l-ion batteries. Oh and are the same size. Im not sure what your not getting?! Open your opinion to the fact that a development has happened to prove your original theory that batteries can not develop further wrong. Solid state and graphene batteries are being developed to overcome the flaws of instability and limited life cycle before recharge.
  2. See what I mean about your closed opinions! No you stated batteries can no longer be developed to be better than what we currently have yet after now 10 minutes of reading solid state and graphene are already around the corner for both tech gadgets and cars, like I said progress. There is far too much money at stake for gadgets and cars so batteries will not stand still. The first car to hit 400 miles on one charge will sell in the bucket loads. Apple vs Samsung the 1st one to create a phone that will last a week with all the gadgets on it that we are now accustomed too guess what will sell in the bucket load.
  3. After 5 minutes of research in the worlds largest library solid state batteries and graphene batteries are already in development to replace lithium ion batteries as they will charge faster hold charge longer and will be more stable. Strange this development millarky.
  4. It’s strange that you spend so much time in the worlds largest library yet form such closed opinions. Development will continue to happen.
  5. It’s risk vs reward in the Australia case. As for him him being an idiot well I’d rather be an idiot with billions than a gardener with no tv license. Batteries in in their current form may have been exhausted but surely there are inventions around the corner to shake things up again. A bit like diesel emissions at the moment yet with the help of DPF Cummins have made a near zero emission 5l engine and stuck it in a Nissan Titan. The one thing about these billionaire idiots who don’t pay enough tax is they somehow keep revolutionising tech and to a point the world. Pfft idiots!
  6. http://news.sky.com/story/elon-musk-wins-50m-bet-with-giant-battery-for-south-australia-11141165 Think somebody needs to tell this guy that battery technology has been extracted to its max and there is no room for improvement. I dont know the gy personally but I get the feeling he’d disagree.
  7. Yes I’d go along with all of the bold. People still have the chance of opportunity here with the added bonus (to us) that they have to invest in us to get it.
  8. Your rhetoric is becoming mind numbingly boring. You have one argument with editorial type facts to back it up. Do you agree that controlled and skilled immigration is a positive and a must?
  9. Nobody has to sleep rough or go to food banks in nurses cases. They are choices made by the individuals, harsh but true.
  10. I had a great service with them price was good too.
  11. Www.tsins.co.uk
  12. Haven’t the EU just banned our cities from competing to be Euro capital of culture, we aren’t out of the EU yet!
  13. So you where ok taking a job away from a local and being a paid immigrant. You where also ok taking 90% of your salary out of the hosts economy and bringing it back to Britain. Yet ... Your not ok with migrants working in the UK. Your not ok with migrants sending money home. Can you at at least see the hypocrisy? There was more to voting leave than immigration yet that’s the only drum your prepared to bang.
  14. Do you think there could be another solution? Bare with me ..... How about building firms pay proper wages as not to price people out of the job. Ill say it for the umpteenth time, I have no problem with immigration in fact I welcome it in a controlled and skilled manner. Heck im not blowing my own trumpet but I’d compete against anyone for any potential job be it Brit or immigrant I fancy my chances! If you won’t back yourself go home. I’m still dumbfounded @matelot at how much you bang on the immigrant drum and how they take our jobs yet you where/are happy to earn as an immigrant!!! @matelotplease answer these 2 questions honestly. . . 1 when you worked away did you spend every penny you earned in said host country? 2 do you see yourself as a hypocrit?
  15. There is an advert on here, insurance for tree surgeons, they are a broker but they are great I got a good deal with them. Tell them you got their details from arbtalk and they’ll sort you out.
  16. Which one or two do you like vesp? Also anything in there you liked?
  17. Thoughts?
  18. People hiding wealth happens in every country no matter who or how its run, its called greed and it is only human nature to want to keep what you perceive as your hard earned! Being in or out of the EU will not stop that however if you try to punish the rich who have handed the jobs out in the first place well they could always close shop and keep their money to themselves and live a happy life you know sort of take their ball home. I personally wouldn’t bite the hand that feeds me for want of an appropriate metaphor. Is tax avoidance the same as tax evasion?
  19. Less is not more when walking in the great outdoors. If trainers have come on the last few decades don’t you think boots have? I wear my fell trainers on walks where I know the ground and terrain and I’m not in the mountains and if the weather is good. If I am in the mountains where the weather/fog can come in or I don’t know the area/terrain it’s boots every time for me as well as a daysack with map compass jumper and waterproofs with a bit of food and water in there for good measure. As for seeing wing people with injuries. I do quite a bit of off road running and events I usually do a couple of good ones a year where injuries are rife. For every snack station there is a medic station. On walking no I don’t see lots of injuries but then again that could be contributed to the fact that most people I see are wearing boots. If you don’t respect the variables you will get caught out, unless of course Vesp is either only walking around Bolton Town centre and Asda or he’s ray mears in disguise. Oh I have mentioned on a couple of threads but I’ll give it another shout out, merino wool is the future, all of my base layers and socks are now merino wool.
  20. Also how many salaries do they provide that both gets taxed and goes back into the economy when spent on living.
  21. I dont understand why people seem to think if we are out of the EU we cant trade?! Trading wont stop it will actually get better as not only will Europe want to deal with us (like I keep saying at its core its people selling to people not gov to gov) but we will actually be allowed to trade with the rest of the world. America only trade if it benefits the USA is this a bad model? They also aren’t part of the EU and they do ok with the rest of the world.
  22. Silkys back. Arbtalk is surely overdue 1 of your picture blog adventures!! Well done on your fitness goals btw.
  23. Mate I’m quite shocked you voted leave. Question for you who who do you think is best in charge to get us out of the EU? Party wise not individually. Personally I know it wouldn’t and couldn’t of ever happened but when we voted leave and it won we should have had a 50/50 coalition lab/con running the country and running brexit to stop infighting between still remaining or leaving 1 vision for the future then 12 months after we officially left hold a general election. Eh well here’s to common sense. How longs it been now and where here still debating if we made the right choice instead of what we want to achieve out of the EU and how are we going to get it.
