  1. You do know I’m only 32
  2. So if your campaigners are making these types of choices now and in your words it will get worse how long is it before someone becomes hurt based on these stupid choices? Are you condoning injury/death due to campaigner beliefs? That may sound harsh but what happens if a campaigner runs into a working area as a worker has just finished a back cut on topping a tree? Or what if a campaigner grabs brash as a worker is snedding with a saw which could cause kickback, what if that kickback causes the saw to go through an artery? Those are hyperthetical now but like you say these campaigners make choices based on what they feel are limited options to stop proceedings and they make them without thought they are made on a whim. This industry is dangerous enough on a good day!! As you say this choice delayed proceedings but it didn’t and won’t stop the outcome.

    Trousers

Very impressed with my arbortec pros although I can’t comment on durability yet as I have only worn them for 3 days.
  4. Worse how? Please elaborate.
  5. It is just another variable your computer deals with the outcome is still decided by your subconscious not your free will. I think thats how it goes.
  6. Apparently not we are all just learning that there is no free will and any choice we make is our computer giving us a pat on the back and giving us the mirage that we made a choice but the truth is conditions, variables and information guides our subconscious into guiding us down a path based on past experiences, rational thinking and data processing so you see we cant be acountable for our actions as we didn’t have the free will to chose them. Using the other thread as my guide I dont blame anyone for protesting it really isn’t their fault they are running on commodore 64’s.
  7. Out of interest does anyone know how much the council has paid out on claims from people falling over roots, broken pavements caused by the trees or damage to cars people etc in Sheffield? Now that we live in a blame culture and solicitors are no win no fee. Im not saying they have paid anything as I genuinely dont know but it would be interesting to see if this kind of thing has a bearing on removing/pruning.
  8. Fair enough but the work will still happen. On the countryfile video it states Sheffield has the highest amount of trees over any other city. Although this could have been handled better probability says there’s more chance of work needed to be done on trees or trees to be removed. Would the residents of sheffield pay more council tax in order to keep the trees?
  9. When will be a good time? It is never going to be a good thing but it will happen. Im not sure why people choose a forum primarily used by Tree surgeons to try and get justification on stopping people taking trees down. It is a perfect oxymoron if ever I have seen one.

    Instagram again

What’s your Instagram name? I have recently gone on and quite like it however it is short vids and pics learning is limited but I follow guys on YouTube for that. Hashtags are used so more more people see your post I guess it’s pointless being on and posting to no one although I see your point people have 50#’s per post.
  11. The trees are coming out, that protester is giving something else for the tree lads to think about. The industry is dangerous enough without idiots jumping all over the brash, WHEN someone gets hurt/injured because of the interference who’s fault will it be? Protests should be done in an amicable manner, not by physical means, by trying to save a tree he may well harm a human how would the liberals look at that? Is that what we now deem as ok?
  12. When we don’t get paid to do so. Sorry to be be cold but we do it for a living because we enjoy it and it pays the bills. If if he wants to respect the fallen he should join the forces, visit cenotaphs, raise money for forces charities not protest over a Tree. Statues, cenotaphs or stonework type monuments make far better memorials and places to respect our lost ones as they don’t change. Trees do they grow mature, break, become diseased and have a natural lifespan. Would anyone remember a tree Tree being in memory of someone if said Tree failed and killed someone?
  13. So the new inputs are steering us into making decisions based on experience and rational thinking and because of new inputs and life generally happening we are constantly making choices to navigate what is in front of us rather than having the free will to do anything based on nothing. That is probably the strangest thing I have ever typed!
  14. Surely the suicide note was a preemptive measure and although I believe what you say is part correct surely knowing he had the rages and knowing he couldn’t control them or guide them away from creating danger he could have used the same free will in writing the note to just top himself before a rage kicked off?
  15. Going with the 2 buttons theme wouldn’t most people press the button on their dominant side ie left handers left button right handers right button?
  16. Carry on, it’s a better topic.
  17. In case you haven’t noticed it’s gone wildly off topic.
  18. Mental health is a real problem, no one is disagreeing that being overweight brings about its own health issues but your delivery on the topic amongst others is both shallow and shameful.
  19. Yes when off piste everything just flows and materialises, no thinking just feel and reaction, on piste I’m always guessing what others will do and rarely let them go.
  20. Again may or may not be perceived as newsworthy but still true if indeed you stubbed your toe. Not fake news.
  21. You are like a moral compass come lighthouse if I point towards you I give myself a shake and change Course. Fatties to use your reference have feelings and insecurities like the rest of us but you didn’t give people’s mental health a thought you just blurted like you normally do. How many female arborist are member or just read this forum? Who knows, how many are after you calling British girls fat probably none after thinking they should be supermodels in your eyes. Its a real shame with you, you usually have (deep breath) a good point but you make a fist of making it and always go too far.
  22. This started out as a very shallow insensitive thread created by someone with probably no mates instead of a lot which has probably just come to an abrupt end by some very deep thinking by someone with a hairy chest and an idiot?!?! I love this forum, you couldn’t make it up!
  23. See above post by Lucan, it has been published by a lot of news sources! This fake news travels fast but wait it’s not fake because it is true. You yourself have acknowledged a leak has been discovered on its trial run! Newsworthy or not it isn’t fake, no one made it up! It is a real leak on a real seal on a real ship which the real company that built the real ship have said there is a real leak that they will really fix.
  24. I like the sound of Williamson’s jib!
