  1. Whats the price these days? I can get a 20t load for £1800
  2. Towed the B751 to its first Milling job today. Only had it 14 months. Is for a mate though so I guess it does not really count. Towed well, hardly knew it was there. Milled a bunch of Spruce, Pine and DF, and a wee bit of Oak. Full days milling on a single Ripper Blade. Will be back tomorrow for another full day.
  3. I'll only order Ripper Blades now. Love them. Had 5 arrive today funnily enough.
  4. Seems like the GP has a 1 year warranty where as the GX has a 3 year. Plastic shroud instead of metal. slightly less HP for the same CC. Made in China. ?
  5. Wish I had the access to a shop like that. Oh, and the Welding Skills. I have the opposite problem, to get it the whole mill and Trailer under 750kg I feel my Trailer is a tad light and a bit flimsy. But I can man-handle it quite easily. Ive not had it on the road yet but should do next week when I have a couple of jobs lined up. The main thing for me is its all plated up and built in Germany (should keep @Big J happy. )
  6. Ah cool. Did you not fancy just buying their own trailer?
  7. You must have told them you're a Computer Engineer and they thought you'd not notice.
  8. Yeh, I was gonna add +/- depending on collection or delivery. He might also be able to cherry pick.
  9. Depending on the waste but £30 a ton to me is reasonable.
  10. I'll assume you mean foot and not inch diameter? If they are 4" Diameter just pop them in your pocket.
  11. Well, the Stoves been installed for 3 days now. very happy with it and very glad I went for the 11kw Stove. Pumps out the heat nicely. Leaving the living room door open to heat the hall means we get to keep our clothes on.
  12. Seems like your compensating for something.
  13. Is it worth re-welding a £20 band?
  14. I tended to buy from my Off-shore mates who all seemed to own a 'Farm' when they say farm they tend to mean a mountain or two. So in their month off they would harvest and sell Firewood. But nipping into Byggmax for 40 litres of Birch for a fiver was very convenient.
  15. I'll assume why so many people sell kiln dried imported wood here in the UK when we also have an abundance. Because its cheaper to do so. Factor in the wages in Norway, and all the benefits the employers have to give their employee's verses what they pay your average Lithuanian. Prepare to be amazed! About us | Varma WWW.VARMA.NO
  16. Interesting. So I could use it to build a barn? Ie, stud work etc? What do you mean by fantastic quality brash? I hate lugging it to the bonfire. I dont have much, I'm just clearing about an Acre to make use of the land. Its a mix of Stikka, Cherry and Beech. Oh, and a monster Hemlock, is that good for timber? The only trees I'll be replanting is fruit and nut trees. Im still getting all the hardwood I want at £30 a ton roadside. Soft at £20 just around the corner from me. He has a bunch of good sized Stikka stacked up, maybe 30" at breast height. Might be worth me buying it then?
  17. How do you find time for a job? Must have been nipping out for a bag of logs continually. I still prefer burning Beech, lovely glowing coals to lose yourself in with a glass of Whisky. Birch smells amazing though, as I hear Cherry does, and Im looking forward to burning my stock of that once its dry.
  18. Ive got loads growing in my plot. Horrid stuff. Will be burning it regardless. What else is it useful for?
