  1. Whats the diameter of that log? I find the 635 struggles with anything over 1t. Trick of the camera?
  2. Looks like softwood but with much added hassle. Id not bother with it.
  3. I canny mind what I paid for them? But I think they are great. Add a couple bits of 2x4” and a sheet of ply and you’ve got yourself a site work table. Takes 2800lbs of weight. Folds down into the body for easy transport. I like them.
  4. Be thankful for that, the other option would have been Steptoe. Thats not even worth thinking about.
  5. Pretty much finished the Log Deck now. No bolts or screws holding it together and it’s rock solid. Some persuasion with mallet to get together but that’s how I wanted it. Hopefully will come apart now for installing where I need it.
  6. Out of interest why are you glad you never bought the house?
  7. Yeh he posted it then pulled it right after, just not quick enough. Asking to see what he's actually paid soon shut him up though.
  8. Yet you where just telling us how you've just submitted your tax return and bigging up how much you paid. Just curious how much that actually is since you raised the point. My accountant submitted my return to Companies House today. It's the most tax I've paid to date.
  9. Go on then, how much? I bet you., like all the other supposed lefties try your damnedest to limit your tax exposure yet claiming everyone else should be paying more tax.
  10. That was not what my last comment was based on though was it? My last comment was based around your blind faith and adulation of Steptoe.
  11. My time is all ready paid for. Im lucky enough to be in a position where Im paid £300 a day regardless if I work or not. Ive not worked since December He's told me Id be doing him a massive favour. I could drop it, have a look and ring it up if its rot. Throw it all in the Trailer and its cost me bugger all. If its ok them Im quids in.
  12. Yet the sun shines outta Steptoes arse. Could not make it up.
  13. Are all you losers going to base your puns around the word 'pith'? Seems pithy pathetic if you ask me...
  14. I have Diamond Grinders on my Granberg precision Chain Sharpener.
  15. Bit more progress with the log deck. Borrowed a mates chain mortiser and mortised out the cross beams. The Chain Mortiser can only plunge 7 3/4” and I needed 8”. I was lazy so gouged out the last 1/4” with a forstner bit then chiseled the edges out. Few taps with a 5lb sledge and the legs soon dropped into place. The morn I’ll get the rails notched and mortised.
  16. Maybe. I though it was on the Deck to be honest. 4t of Ash for free cant be bad though, even of its just firewood. I'll drop it during the week with my 088 and a 36" Bar. See what like then.
  17. Yeh fair enough. I did note them. Im guessing thats why whomever dealt with the tree initially gave up where they did.
  18. I actually have a Metal Detector, I'll run it over it if I go for it.
