1. This was dropped off at the farm today, they told farmer it was Ash. I'm thinking more Locust. The leaves were attached to one of the logs
2. I remember going to the unit of the guy who imports/sells the Timberpro stuff, he was spraying all the bars grey to cover up his branding of Timberwolf as he "apparently" didn't know they were already a brand name ha ha. He'd just had a nasty phone call from them.
3. It's back up and running like a dream, won't be changing bearings again though. Thing will go in canal first. Cheers again to the Greenmech guys for all the help
4. I'll definitely have limited capabilities next time if it saves me all this hassle :001_tt2:, that or 50% off a new 130
5. At last I've got old drum out, just waiting on bearings tomorrow then we should be up and running again. Fantastic customer service yet again from Jase & Pete at Greenmech.
6. Not a chance it's coming out, the things solid
7. Had a go last night at removing side plate but it ain't going nowhere, will try a local truck builders near me see if they can free it off
8. Well, he's told me how to do it. Was hoping he'd come n fix it for me lol, need it this week
9. Thanks, been banging my head about the garage all day. Just about to get Stihl saw out
10. The 4 nuts/bolts each side just turn, won't actually undo FFS!!!!
11. Any ideas, got a spare day so trying to sort it
12. Anyone know how to remove the drum from the cassette on a greenmech cs100 ? I've taken pulley wheel off and the 6 small bolts on the end of cassette up to now. Got a new drum to fit.
13. Piss wet through pruning a sycamore, then customer says they want more off just as we finish FFS.
14. What price is that? I've just had a 0 week referral from LV, comes in at £70.84 month
15. MetLife are a great company but only cover for broken bones. Ideal if you play sports and intensive work. I shattered my collarbone 3 days after taking out my policy and got paid out within 10 days of making the claim 👌🏻.
16. Liverpool Victoria £27 per month for £1250 cover but can't claim for first 4 weeks of accident. Trying to change it to 1 week so I'll update post next week. Expect monthly cost will go up though. They did say it also takes in to account your age.
17. Certainly an eye opener those photos, don't usually wear gloves but will be more cautious from now on.
18. No idea, not taken it apart yet, sure someone will post them up on here soon
19. Anyone know best place for bearings? Replacing the blade drum on my CS100 so thought I'd do the bearings while it's off. Had a quote at £85 + vat per bearing plus £25 p&p, that's some postage charge.
20. Seller should have paperwork with it I would have thought. If you're doubting it already it's time to walk away from it. Try phoning an Ifor dealer and ask if they can check, worth a try, will only be a yes or no.
21. Hi, my Stihl 130 combi has been playing up today, instead of idling when trigger is released it seems it's on half revs, so chain/trimmers are still moving. They've not seen a lot of use and are in excellent condition. Any ideas what could be the cause? Thanks in advance
22. How old is the child? Camo pop up tent or similar as good will gesture if you feel you want to👍🏻. That way his mum tells all her friends what a great bloke you are and you may get more work 👌🏻 Might buy one myself for brew breaks lol
23. As long as you look and act professionally and explain the work to be done, there's not a lot more you can do. You're never going to please everyone.
24. Never too soon, people will take the pi55 given half a chance. As long as you do the agreed work for the price quoted, why should you do extra for nothing. Do written or emailed quotes and list exactly what work is being carried out. Don't mind trimming up the odd shrub when doing customers hedges if they ask but that's it. We did a turfing job last year and customer wanted a revised price as we weren't there still working when they got home and they thought it would take all day!!!! You'll always get chancers, don't get stressed about it, not worth the hassle. Priced a tree removal last week at £600, guy says I've had a quote for £150, WTF you phoning me for then lol. You'll look back in a few years and say can't believe some of the jobs I used to do.
25. We any nearer to the best roller mower then? Waiting to purchase one but can't decide between Viking, Honda or John Deere. Must be decent on wet grass though with all the rain we get.
