  2. I've greased a strimmer brushcutter in my life and they're all stihl
  3. Good look forward to hearing from you LOL.....
  4. Yea, I understand that, but, does it have to cost forty quid for two pairs of socks to do it?... Try doubling up on cheap socks and see how you go on... I'm sure the difference wouldn't be forty pounds worth LOL... Try it out tomorrow Mendiplogs and report your finding back here tomorrow..
  5. Yea, I meant pair in the plural LOL.. not singular hahah... Forget a pair is two socks when you say a pair in sock language....
  6. If wool holds in water then I'm not sure I'd want woolen socks if I was gonna be sweatin in em.. And I certainly wouldn't be payin 70quid for pair of em...you out your mind?... what you need is textiles that wick water away, man made fibres.. So I'd imagine two pairs of socks with mixed fibres for a coupla quid.. if your workin in em that is, sitting down or not doin much of anything strenuous then go for the expensive woolen ones..
  7. More likely to get fingered by the liberal left as a racist and bigot... I'll be surprised if he's not let go sometime next year, you just watch.. Oh by the way I agree with everything he says..
  8. Or giving them the option to subscribe to a minimum amount each week month.
  9. A godsend considering its somethin I hate doin myself...
  10. Well to be honest theres some truth in that.... I'm not fond of people looking down their nose at other peoples jobs.. and sometimes I get annoyed, even if I know the fella said it in jest... another thing I'm not found of is someone calling me a troll, wheres my black book?...
  11. No LOL I'm just havin a go at (who was it) whatshisname... Talking about his staff like they're dirt... I wondered if his boss used to talk down to him, and did he ever like it... By the way, I'm sure you'll go on an do fine eventually, seems your hearts in the right place at least... Unlike some on here... money money money, every things about money with some... You look after your mate Bird, and who knows, one day you might find he'll look after you...
  12. Why not be a little more disparaging to the people you employ, branch dragger. I hope your branch dragger throws a brick in your chipper, teach you some respect for another mans occupation..
  13. Oh Yea, so a compromise was got at.. Pay someone four hundred quid if you wanna complain... who's gonna do that?... better to chop at the roots an see what comes of it... Have you heard what Mr Bumble has to say on the subject... If the law supposes that," said Mr. Bumble, squeezing his hat emphatically in both hands, "the law is a ass — a idiot. If that's the eye of the law, the law is a bachelor; and the worst I wish the law is, that his eye may be opened by experience — by experience.”
  14. Don't listen to this lot, you do what you thinks best, at least until you've got going.. At some point, when the times right you and your mate might think to go your separate ways who knows.. until then go fifty fifty on the profit...not the costs.. Maybe its just me, but I'd rather keep a friend than lose one over an extra five per cent..
  15. Am I making it up as I go along hahahah Of course I'm making it up, thats to say I'm attempting to think what's fair.. Now heres the thing, theres good reason to for thinking I'm right. I'm sure a law was being brought in a while back on the height of these tree's but the act was defeated in parliament or filibustered out on a private members bill... vested interests an all that... So, even if the law says so an so on the matter, it aught be ignored. tell the judge to stuff his compen were the sun don't shine as its not right an it ain't bein paid. Explain that its an injustice, an you'll be taking this all the way the European High Court.. See if European Justice can be used to slap the judge down... Anyone with an once of decency knows not to grow these thing beyond six or seven feet..
  16. find out if one of your friends knows someone who can do it for you. Other than that, do what I would do, Utube how to do it.. Might involve an headache but might be worth havin a crack at.. Not that I've got one myself mind, my son has one though, did it himself. an if he can manage to get one runnin, anyone can LOL...
  17. I use those cheap Carabiners and anything else that I think might catch my eye..
  18. Bird Put an add in the local paper, and get someone to build you an internet site.. An don't worry what other people make, plow your own furrow.. I'm sure you'll do well one day or other..
  19. Sorry Darren Just havin a bit of fun....
  20. My main line of work is Gardening Maintenance but I do the odd tree job, been thinking of doin more tree's myself.. But the rains puttin me off the idea... I ain't workin in no rain.. Just a question, why isn't your arborist friend doin tree's for himself..
  21. I used to go to bed with Paul Sellars... Thats to say, I'd put a long vid on and listen to him, fast asleep in five minutes..
  22. Seen it all now, what next, taking the car for a walk, tucking it in before bed?...
  23. Paul Sellars Utube [ame] [/ame] I went through a woodworking phase last year LOL
  24. Yes, loss of rights to be compensated, due in no small part to reckless foresight..
  25. Kveldssanger The root of the problem is with the person who planted the tree's without due consideration of their future impact on the neighbors quality of life.. It wouldn't matter if its new owners, as they would of also bought the responsibility of the actions of the previous owner...in this case anyways.. in effect they own the tree's, they own the problem.. Now if a third party had suffered damage then I suspect the fella who chopped the tree roots might be held to account. but if its just these two neighbors and no other party is involved, then its all down to the owner of the tree's.. I suppose it comes down to degree's of damage and fair reparations.. The root of justice is fairness, who planted the tree's?... Oh an just because its legally allowed to grow conifers as a hedge stretching into the heavens, doesn't make the law right.. Theres an old adage that aught be taken into account, good fences make good neighbors.. Perhaps reckless tree growers might want to think on that..
