  1. Fiskars, wont touch owt else..
  2. reminds me of a poor mans version of this LOL... [ame] [/ame]
  3. LOL all that for nothin, I almost expected fists to be flyin... One thing this case does remind me of though was an incident I had some years back, delivering a fridge to my friends dads house. Gets to the address, a courtyard complex with tight parking area.. Why Reversing to straighten up all hell breaks loose, this old woman screaming at the top of her voice, "you've run over mi wall" she shouts. Crap, how much is it gonna cost to fix this I thinks. Her an her husbands pointing fingers near my back wheels. I gets out a bit puzzled not havin seen said wall or felt any impact, then tried to see the damage done.. I had to look twice, focus in a bit... "you mean that" I pointed at the coping stone my van had pushed over an inch... that's my bloody wall you just knocked over, an you can pay for the damage. Can I now I said, drove my van forward an pushed the coping stone back into position.. If you don't pay for it I'll get the police Go on then get em, I'll wait here till they arrive.. You cheeky B****d she says, I'll show you, Jack, phone our Mike get him round here now.. Strewth I thinks, I've only come round to deliver a fridge and now she wants the son in law round to sort me out.. Look I said, is that coping stone broke!!!, no she says, then I ain't paying for a new one and no matter what you say or who you bring round your still not gonna get me to get you a new one. She new she'd met her match I think, she drifted back into her house, but not before she told me that next time I turn up round these parts, I'd better be more careful or she was gonna get me done... LOL
  4. IS THIS YOU? Here are just a few of the things the TypeFinder has discovered about you. You love ideas, theories, and complex concepts You analyze things logically and objectively You are independent, unconventional, and do not care what others think You think like a scientist and question everything You have little patience for people who are intellectually inferior I'm also not dumb enough to pay for a "Full Report"..
  5. Seein as the cost of those panels hasn't been subsidized by anyone I have no complaint about their use.. But thinking about subsidies, it got me to wondering if those hybrid generators haven't been subsidized by some government grant green initiative or some other back door costs to promote their products.. I had some bozo phone me up tryin to get me to buy some woodchip boiler a while back, said it would pay for itself.. How much is the chip I said, about two fifty a ton or some such ridiculous figure.. NO thanks I said, I chop my own for nowt...
  6. A tarp sheet springs to mind.. get your customers to get one for when you deliver their wood..
  7. Yea, well your right about that, I don't know anything about having a 125Kw hybrid generator instead of a 200Kw generator... How much does a 200Kw generator cost as opposed to a 125 hybrid?... whats the life cycle of those batteries?... replacement costs?.. err, be interesting to find out..
  8. read my post again, start at the beginning... Recessions don't start in England/Britain... So how in hells bells can you blame Labour for a recession?.. What did Labour do that the Americans didn't?..... how much borrowing have the conservatives done since coming into office?...do you know?...
  9. Well in general you can't blame any political leader of Britain for starting a recession, because they ain't in general started here. But you can look at how our leaders manage recessions.. In that regards, Thatcher was a joke, following an economic theory that had to be abandoned before the country ended up in the stone age.. So Yea, not only was Thatcher as bad as people paint her, she was worse than most people paint her... I laughed my tits off when I seen her crying in the commons, and then to cap off a good day, the city institutions sent share prices upwards when she left.... Theres a ringing endorsement of her time in office in a nutshell...
  10. Green writing, isn't that used by the mentally deranged?...
  11. So, you have two solar panels on your roof, who paid for em, you or me an everyone else?... putting aside any suspected subsidy, why would you heat up the house just to take a shower in summer, theres some inefficiency going on there.. better take a cold shower if your asking me, nice an bracing, puts hairs on your chest... I'm also presuming the woods free or next to nothing in cost, that being the case does it matter if it takes an extra ten minutes to warm the hot water up?...
  12. nothing about these firefly thingy's.. Just about spending money on hybrids of anything, two systems to do what one will do fine... Wind power, bio fuels, alternative energy all a waste of time.. Hybrid cars are the same, two systems when one would do fine.. The very definition of Hybrid says inefficient.. to be honest, I think all these hybrids are a con, they seem to have a green appeal and that seems to be their selling point..
  13. Thanks for the advice, might come in handy some day....
  14. I've done a lot of research on these hybrid energy systems... my conclusion, waste of time and money.. Whats the cheapest fuel to run your system?.. diesel?.... get a diesel generator..
  15. Well you wouldn't be wrong in my case, I haven't got "a ticket", never had a ticket and no intention of getting a ticket.. However, if and when I do my next tree, I'll understand why the pro's use certain techniques as apposed to my way of doin things.. Which is usually climb to as high as I dare, judge the weight of the bit at the top to be lobbed, (if I can push it I'm in the right ball park), and chop it without the hinge.. Now I know how to to send it down without the thing flying into the nearest green house... LOL
  16. Utube is a marvelous place to find things out, and its thanks to men and women like this fella that those curious can see how its done... or, learn how to do it...
  17. I don't know, for all we know these spore thingy's might effect different people in different ways. Might be that you can shovel up woodchip an spores for a month and never be effected.. I've disturbed all kinds of crap in my time, spores flinging this way an that. the only effect they had on me was not being able to breath for a minute till it cleared up... Sort of look at it like a bee sting, some can go into analytic shock, most everyone else just curses their luck and moves on...
  18. Wet days? well used.... I don't like the sound of that, only the other day I was reading that wet rope loses 70% of its strength or stopping power or what ever it was tryin to say.. Perhaps a visit to the LOLLer centre to check the rope..
  19. I assume you have a Zigzag, in which case try it out on the rope... After reading that death trap zigzag thread the other day, I ordered one off amazon, spent all afternoon playin with it on what can only be described as a piece of string, seemed to stick to that all right. So I'm guessing it'll work on a proper piece of rope..
  20. The bulk of my work will be bread and butter work, fencing, decking, paving etc, not reworking stately gardens. A sophisticated design might look too flashy for the regular home owner looking for a simple garden revamp. The second point is my budget, at this stage I just need something cheap and simple to get the name out there and bring some money in. I think its best to keep it simple until I get established, then I can pay to have a more sophisticated logo to pull in the big money customers! Do a good job for a fair price and the work will soon chase you... and all anybody wants is your phone number... They don't want a work of art, they don't want a sonnet written in there, just your number... and the bonus is, by keeping your business card clean, you'll also keep it cheap... hopefully!!!
  21. Look, you tried to belittle the past labour administration for overspending, I'm just pointing out that sometimes, especially in times of crisis, you do things that one day you might live to regret... For instance, it wasn't labour policy to get us into a world wide economic recession. From what I remember it was brought about by the herd mentality of millions of ordinary people.. Look how much my house is worth this week brigade.. Now, given that Gordon Brown was in the middle of a crisis, you wouldn't expect him to sit around like a rabbit in the headlights doin nothin would you?.. My complaint with his management of the crisis isn't that he spent like wildfire, but that he seemed clueless and out of his depth... But, spending money was the only real option they had... So when you bleat about the previous labour administration spendng money or loading us with debt, you might want to consider the context in which it was spent... A context that includes the collapse of the world financial system.. Now, I, like most people don't like debt, but I do recognize its better than spending all winter looking for turnips in some farmers field... And, as a lifelong labour supporter, I'd rather David Cameron in charge than any of the clueless muppets that have replaced him...tony blair that is!!
  22. You don't wash your dirty linen in public, so no, Ed isn't gonna start dissin his former colleagues in public is he?.. That being said, he was clearly on the left of Blair.. Now, if you want to talk about overspend, twenty trillion dollars.. thats what its taken to keep us all in work.. You might want to thank George Bush jnr and Obama for "overspending" to keep you in a job..
  23. David Cameron is the leader of Great Britain, engaging with other world leaders on a weekly basis... Jeremy Trotsky Corbin , who?.... I think we have a big winner there
  24. I think you'll find Miliband was distancing himself from New anything, he wanted to return to old something. Look were it got him.. The Moron..
