  1. Teresa's in a pickle, the country's in a pickle, and all because, the people voted brexit.. Not wishing to blow my own trumpet, but I did say what would happen.. I wonder if the Tory scum that promoted Brexit (boris) have any kind words to those Tory MP's who've lost their seats to Labour ?.. I haven't a clue whats gonna happen next, ether May clings on like Corbyn, or she goes. I do know one thing though, Brexit is poisoning the well. and until its sorted.. Staying in as is, or getting out and being done with it, that well is gonna stay poisoned till its drained.. In order for that well to be drained, we need to sort out brexit. No halfway house, no picking and choosing, just staying in Europe as we are now, or having a hard brexit with WTO rules to follow. I think the only possible solution is another referendum, only this time its stay in or WTO.. postpone brexit talks till the autumn, then a referendum.. get shut of May in the meantime and hopefully corbyn chokes on a fishbone.. That fella's as deluded as May..
  2. Yea, noticed her here an there over the last year, she comes across as a commanding figure.. Dare I say it, Maybe one day the Prime Minister?..
  3. May makes sordid compact with the DUP.. what is given in one hand can be taken away with the other.. Ruth Davidson talks of a loose brexit.. May wont last two minutes as things stand... good bye and good riddance to bad rubbish when she leaves...
  4. these exit polls are reliable.. so don't hold your breath.
  5. hahahahahahahah get your pop corn ready this is gonna be interesting..
  6. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.. I don't think I've ever been so discombobulated about who to vote for in all my life.. For Brexit, vote Tory, in the sense that Teresa will do the right thing.. Vote for Corbyn on Brexit and he's the one who'll connive to get a hard brexit.. To solve Islamic terrorism, who the hell to vote for.. not one of em is worth sht.. limp wristed PC traitors to a man to the lot of em.... Like northern Ireland, the odd bomb, the odd lunatic with an axe, is gonna be about managing events, not tackling the root of the problem.. Give me strenth..... what a fec up..
  7. Diane Abbot by any chance:thumbup1:
  8. :thumbup1: best comment of the night LOL's
  9. I think I can recall one or two posts in that thread that were genuinely offensive, and those were instigated by whatsisname, triggerAndy. Other than that idiot, the thread was moving along nicely.. and, not being an arborist myself, (but I do read a lot of the threads), its nice to post on a thread thats relevant to anyone..
  10. :thumbup1: Only trouble is in three days time the whole sorry mess will be quietly forgotten about till the next one.. Looking at the EDL march through Liverpool, looks like we want our government to take control and steer events for us.. No one wants things to get worse.. they don't want revolution. If things carry on as they are, thats gonna change, people are gonna have to take matters into their own hands.. Its just a matter of time.
  11. I wouldn't count on hundreds of years, more like decades.. If you ever get round to reading reports about coal fields or gas fields and they mention a hundred years worth of supply, be sure to take notice of the qualification.. at current rates of use.. what might last a hundred years at current rates of use, might end up being ten years if production is ramp up..
  12. My own pet theory is Climate Change and the science behind it are being used to scare the populace to move over to renewable's. Not because renewable energy is better, or cleaner, but because if we don't move over in time, the worlds going to fall off an economic cliff edge we can never recover from.. During my time researching peak oil, it dawned on me that there was a correlation between a tipping point in climate change and when oil was expected to cause economic ruin if an alternative couldn't be found in time.. Thats not to say the science is wrong, or the fears aren't justified that things might go from bad to worse, but the elephant in the room is what do we use when the oil's running down?.. How bad it gets if climate change happens is anyones guess, how bad it gets if the oil supply is interrupted takes no guesswork at all..
  13. LOL, I like the last line... But your goin to have to do a lot more than run your taps for one night to catch up with my frugal use of heating and water use...
  14. Its not envy on my part, I'm thinking more along the lines why revolutions happen.. Why what we're seeing is a revolution of sorts in Britain.. the hatred for the establishment thats been building up over the years.. is there a correlation between the earnings of the one percent and their apologists and the anti establishment feelings that got Trump elected and us out of Europe?... somethin to think about I think..
  15. If labour get in power its gonna be in a coalition with the SNP and others.. He wont be able to do anything without their say so, not to mention the rest of the Labour MP's.. So in that regard you can rest a bit easier.. However, one thing is certain, something needs to be done to bring down the disparity between the richest one percent and the rest of us.. usually when theres such a disparity between the richest and the rest, a revolution usually follows, Oh wait, Brexit and now Corbyn's gaining political traction.. Could this have something to do with the unfairness people feel is the state of affairs we find ourselves in?...
  16. lift back end a bit, loosen appropriate nuts an bolts and put back in place.. Did it on my hilux years back, I thought it was driving funny but couldn't put my finger on it, till someone mentioned my axle was outa kilta.. I can't be sure but I think I'd backed over an oversized kerb an it threw my axle out a bit..
  17. usually takes fifteen years for a business to mature from scratch.. you've just described a classic business model.. nothing to do with who was in or out of power then.. just determination to get the job done... So, no need to blame labour for a slow start, or give credit to the Tories just because they were around as your business took off.. eggarascal well if your bungalow is now worth 100thousand more, might explain why stats are showing a slowdown.. what can't go on , wont go on..
  18. People really aught educate themselves, no matter who's in power recessions come and go. its a business cycle rolling along on a world wide scale.. To blame Labour or the Tories is just blaming the symptoms of global slowdowns on something they can't control.. I see the early signs of a recession creeping up on us as we speak, house price stagnation being a first sign.. Perhaps our Teresa called the election partly to get elected before the sht hits the fan?.. Matty, I could see the signs of a global meltdown years before it took place, If I was in your shoes I'd of based my business model on one that would survive a recession.. Instead of blaming Labour, I'd take a look at were you went wrong..
  19. I think people should expect a certain level of treatment, but I can't see the point of spending thousands on people who have at best a few more months to live, treatment or otherwise.. When I'm old and decrepit, I wouldn't want to ruin the calculations of the exchequer for want of keeping me alive for a month longer.. I was talking about this the other day, I recon I'll tell someone to stick some poison in my food to send me on my way when the times right... Only, I wont be able to do that will I ?. Every time I'm aged an ill, I'll be looking with suspicion at everyone who comes by my bedside to feed me somethin or other.. So I wont be able to have a nice chit chat lest the fella/woman is the murdering bastard out to get me LOL's..
  20. Some of the Labour policies are pretty interesting, this LVT thingy sounds good. If, rates are paid on the value of your property, it'll have an effect on the housing market.. Those who own their houses will have a good reason to talk values down, thus reducing the cost of housing over time.. Thats a winning idea if your asking me.. As much as we all like to complain about fuel duty, at least its a fair tax, those who drive can always reduce their tax by driving less, or not at all.. I used to love a drive out to Wales, don't bother no more as I don't like the cost of the drive out.. maybe I should get an electric car?...
  21. Been interesting following the polls of late, Labour seem to be closing on the Conservatives.. Pound has been buffeted according to one headline because Corbyn's closing in..LOL. There also seems to be some dismay about the trustworthiness of some of the polls.. Well let me give you my interpretation.. This was always going to be the mother of all tactical elections, The polls represent a countrywide sample, thats not gonna cut it if people vote tactically.. each marginal constituency has to be targeted if the pollsters want to get a grip on the election result... two and half million new voters registered, I expect them to be younger voters.. maybe Corbynista's.. hahahah, love it if Labour managed to reduce the Tory majority.. Well maybe I wouldn't love it, I have my cards on Teresa May knifing the brexiteeers if her majority allows, its all going tits up though. Damn it?????...
  22. most thieves wouldn't know a good saw if it hit em in the face, neither do most people who buy off em.. A saw is a saw is a saw... how much is all they want to know..
  23. Whats a bit of verbal abuse against the cold blooded murder of children and their parents?.. it sickens me that people even pass crap like this on, like it does something in some way to make some moral equivalence. Well it doesn't, an it never will..
  24. Yes I agree, one of them murdered 22 people the other day.. injured 60.. Just in case you'd forgotten...
  25. [ame] [/ame] might be an idea to see it it working
