  1. Ignore this, I got onto Redwood and they solved it in minutes.
  2. Just an aside, why do Sky News think that anyone gives a toss about the simplistic and agonisingly poorly articulated views of Kriss Akabussi? how did he get to be a news reviewer?
  3. Interesting points. If you're running that sort of turnover why not keep a spare machine? a very decent GM ot TW can be had for 5K, barely a weeks numbers. Take it out twice a month, just to keep the parts moving.
  4. Great, fine. Your enjpyment (or otherwise) isn't really the issue though.
  5. Was the grease getting to the bearing from the grease bank?
  6. Ha ha! quite right, I meant too much on and behind the rear axle.
  7. Just a little moan, do we have to "quote" the photos everytime if we're passing comment? Clogs up the page, I've seen Timon's three times on this one.
  8. I'd go for a single cab as well, more space for chip.
  9. It's not the weight of the cage it's the capacity, it looks great, just too high. I would certainly not take it off, just cut the top off,and shorten the roof section and re weld it back on. You'll be overweight most of the time anyway.
  10. Looks too high, you won't be able to fill it up or you'll be doing wheelies. Nice truck though, you could cut it down a bit or just not fill it up to the top.
  11. The machine needs replacing really though I'm guessing. If you don't have the money to replace it, or at least a substantial portion of it, you could say it's too late to put prices up, at least on this machine. It's back to square one, not attacking you but some people should read and understand that the sort of underpricing whereby you're busy all week doing cheap work with an expensive machine will end up in tears. The clients will be all smiles of course, they'll love you.
  12. There's been talk of one, I've not seen them advertised.
  13. There is one drawback. when you do multiple trees and you start a tree with little battery power, you know it's not going to last the tree, but you can't just "fill it up" like a petrol saw. You have to finish the battery and send the saw down.
  14. Yep, practice your knots, get an ident book and start knowing the different trees. It'll help you a lot when you do start.
  15. J'en sais rien Mark. Gardez tes propres oignons. (we're pretty broadminded out here)
  16. I could never get on with boxers, no support for the equipment.
  17. Steel Krab, and I'll put a half Hitch in front of it when it gets heavier.
  18. The Smiths were a high point. I have Hatful of Hollow on in the car most days.
  19. I think you have to think of context, they're a screen tree, not spécimens. Tickling alders? all the growth is at the end of the branches. Might as well hat-rack them, do it again in 7 years, then again, till they rot out, then fell and replace.
  20. Alder, unusual choice. Anyway, they've at least gone for a natural shape (mostly) What would you have suggested instead?
  21. No Paul, I can't, I think the species is relevant. (he did say "educate the public" you know my feelings on that!)
