  1. Yes, I have, got a new battery on warranty from my supplier.
  2. Depends on the type of tree. For some it's perfectly acceptable.
  3. Took me a full 10 seconds to get that VI. Age is diminishing me.
  4. What a pig! Good job, great pics.
  5. Give us a couple of the questions you think this raises, something to get our teeth into.
  6. London attack: 130 imams condemn attackers and refuse to perform funeral prayer for them It may, or may not be true, I hope it is.
  7. Good move, nice to have it back. I'll tell you what's always puzzled me. The willingness of celebs these days to throw their weight behind a political party. I'm a big fan of Danny Baker, love his radio show, follow him on twitter blah blah.. so he's doing a vote Labour thing on twitter ATM and I think to myself "do you really think I'm going to alter (or not) my vote because some mildly amusing fellow on the wireless tells me to? If anything (see Russell Brand) it has the opposite effect.
  8. [ame] [/ame] Igor doing a fair impression of Tigger.
  9. You're right there, The yanks, as a rule, place more store in being able to say what you think. Not saying it's right or wrong.
  10. It's a tricky one, when I started the thread I thought it was a way of pulling all the various argument threads into one. It seems odd that when we are experiencing extraordinary events, we can't discuss them, even if it just goes round and round. Personally I think banning a few folks would have done the job. As for the free speech thing...
  11. Check out this, it's all over twitter, the comments are pretty funny.
  12. I had a non turbo hilux in the late 90s, good truck but really gutless by today's standards.
  13. Most Versatile Mini Articulated Loader - The MultiOne 7 Series Their own website has countless vids of each machine and most of the attachments.
  14. What's the issue? Has it been raised on here?
  15. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/large-equipment/103971-greasebanks-chippers-good-idea.html It's been discussed before, I'm not a fan of grease banks.
  16. Been a real downturn in the numbers here over the last few years. We used to get hobby hawks follow them up from Africa, you could watch them hunting the swallows in the village. Sadly haven't seen a hobby in a while now.
  17. Leo Varadkar: Ireland set to have first gay PM - BBC News Blimey!
  18. What's the deal with copper lining the trench?
  19. Rather dull but lucrative Doug fir removal. More importantly first day on the job for the mighty MultiOne. Got to be a bit more careful of the floor of the trailer now though!
  20. Blimey, delicate flower aren't you?
  21. Orrrr, buy a bigger machine (as I think you're suggesting) and sub out the restricted access stuff to the young of hips.
  22. Le forum des arboristes grimpeurs, des grimpeurs d'arbres, des bûcherons et des cordistes ou travaux en hauteur. Here's a French Arb forum, not as busy as here but probably a better place to ask.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
