  1. They use the same engine as the Forst and the Timberwolf. (I think) 1505 4 cylinder kubota. Second edit: having checked the spec sheet I’m probably wrong there.
  2. Why not spike up with a flip line? Can’t get easier than that.
  3. Why didn’t you just spike up with a flip line?
  4. Probably best trying a yank site, AS, Treebuzz, The Treehouse. http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/search/10897309/?q=Mobark+chipper&o=date
  5. Great stuff, that climber has very long legs!
  6. Yeah. Not talking about physical likeness, just a desire to be in a selfie with a bomb.
  7. What are the pros using? 201s or 540s almost without exception.
  8. You can say that, you probably believe that. Whether I believe it is a different matter.
  9. Quite right^^^ When ever people say they don’t care what other people charge I think about a situation that has often cropped up over the years, I’m sure it’s happened to others as well. I get a chance of a bid thanks to a friendly gardener, my rate for an ordinary days work say, £600, the gardener tells me the client has had a quote of £1100, so do you go in at £900 and get the work or £600 because you don’t care what other people charge?
  10. Good points. re the dog mess. When you turn up at a job and there’s stuff on the garden, you have a few choices. 1: Ask to borrow a shovel and clear up what you can whilst making disgusted noises, then do your job to get the money. (Recommended) 2: Ask the client to clear it up. (Not recommended but sounds good) 3: Walk away, thereby losing a days money and a client. (Try explaining that to your business manager at the bank)
  11. Yes impressive, but you keep using this thread to flog your wares.
  12. Dead right, it was constructed by a guy who had seen photos, so not quite perfect.
  13. Great photos. No view, no matter how breathtaking compensates for strimming on a slope though!
  14. Mines not a rotator Al, it’s a free rotating. I did a lot of research, nearly everyone said a “knockabout” was all you need.
  15. Can’t wait for the album.
  16. Good point, I do find that we use a lot less petrol now as we don’t have to cut it small enough to lift (not always but often) plus the chipper uses less fuel as it’s chipping more while it’s running rather than idling.
  17. Feeding my chipper with the grapple, it did jam but I didn’t have time to go all Hollywood on it.
  18. What im saying is that even if price fixing were possible in our industry (which it isn't) it's neither morally right or desirable. Firms with poor standards would not go to the wall, better firms wouldn't prosper because they'd be giving work away to others Anyway who would decide who's "in" or not?
  19. The report only details the stuff that looks interesting on the news. The actual cause would be your domain although I have seen similar failures in mature(ish) oaks with healthy looking crowns and have brought the details on here. iirc White Rot? In the roots was the cause. Uneducated guess of course.
  20. I keep up with news from my old manor, this popped up. may be of interest... http://www.crawleyobserver.co.uk/news/video-house-suffers-further-damage-after-tree-collapse-1-8213206
  21. That is sweet, good price as well.
  22. It’s my earnest hope that this (so far) good thread doesn’t descend Into an argument about the two companies.
