  1. Hit it hard if you want to keep it, it’ll fall soon enough otherwise. Don't spare the rod.
  2. Don’t get it, broadsword or something?
  3. Where’s the risk in a ferry booking? 100 squid? Refundable.
  4. I think this opinion is influenced more by your world view before the COVID thing than any concern over the virus.
  5. Just because you don’t like holidays doesn’t mean others don’t. I think reckless gamble is over dramatizing it a bit. I think if you’re vaccinated and it’s a low risk country then it should be ok.
  6. Interesting job for him, selecting leaders and cutting very small diameter wood. Low drama, but lots of decisions.
  7. Sorry to hear this Gary.
  8. Remnant from a hedge predating the house.? Topped at 5 ft in the past anyway.
  9. These three evergreen oaks in front of the beach houses have been pollarded countless times over the years, decided to leave some sap pullers this time.
  10. Yeah Paul, don’t try and build up the drama like some needy teen on TikTok, where you off to?
  11. Is that Jonny Walker you’re working for Don?
  12. Agreed, forget the crane. Tractor, grab etc. will be enough, done in a day.
  13. Yeah but when lions can pull a net out of their arse to catch their prey, antelope/Zebras (like spiders do with flies) we’ll talk.
  14. €42000 for thé petrol, diesel unavailable out here it seems. I had a message from a member (who has run a lot of chippers) through another platform who has used both, he says that the diesel is the superior machine.
  15. Loads here as well, one was living in the house when we moved in.
  16. Nicely done. Not easy at all for all concerned.
  17. No you can’t, but if you can’t get a tractor on site or it’s just one pull and you don’t want to tow the tractor to a job it’s a great tool Not cheap, but à once in a working life purchase.
  18. Thanks Pete, but you haven’t really said anything there have you?
  19. I doubt he took a hiding from the other coppers, too high profile. Attempted suicide more likely I reckon. (I watch The Sweeney a lot so I’m a bit of an expert)
  20. Good idea, it would be nice if you came back to tell us what the report says and your decision. It gives us a kind of closure. Mick
  21. Very kind of you to worry about me Les! My nephew (25) is being trained up to replace me, but I still do the more technical/risky stuff. Tbh, it’s not really a problem, the hard stuff like hedge reductions I either turn down or put a silly price on.
  22. Fuel economy not that important Stu, performance is.
  23. Cheers Stubs. I mean who could cut down a holly tree and wonder what it is? Look at the tree the pile is stacked up against.
