  1. You could be right, just throwing it out there, the bark of lime is oak like so can be passed off to the unwary by the unscrupulous. Need to smell the wood, and feel the weight and see the buds to be sure.
  2. Ok, thanks Stu, it seemed to do it all day, so after the weekend I’ll try and find out about adjusting the box. Appreciate your chiming in
  3. It’s not the do as you likeys, that’s for sure.
  4. So they rung up and loaded 6 tonnes by hand in rings in an afternoon, tough day. They still have to split it, market it and deliver it.
  5. Send ‘em round here, this lot will keep them busy.
  6. Of course. I don’t doubt it, I just think that sneaking in and cutting green oak logs with an admittedly sharp chainsaw, seems like very hard work, for very little reward, and a lot of risk. I mean why not just go into the woods and have a bit of free firewood? It’s laying out there. In a minimum of 2 years!
  7. That is the oddest theft I’ve ever heard of.
  8. No, this is the first time, though I haven’t used it much. Is this the white rds box?
  9. Did you see the vid on the last page? Instead of the stress control stopping the rollers, it reverses them for a second.
  10. Husky 395xp, not been started for at least 6 months. All this stuff about mixed petrol going off in weeks is bullshit. Excuse the heavy breathing, heavy head cold, so off work. IMG_0231.MOV
  11. How do I wheedle the blue plastic off? Just a screwdriver and twist?
  12. Kirsty and Phil to be made to do the walk of atonement to the Red Keep. The Post Office utterly blown to smithereens. Old people in chemists to instantly clear out of the way for young virile men who need their Paracetamol/Nurofen for their hangovers. This is to be signaled by the shout “taxpayer in pain, out the way you coffin dodgers!” All other languages to be banned in all forms, only English to be spoken worldwide.
  13. Smash everything, dismantle all government control. Return to living as hunter gatherers, start breeding Pugs and Tibetan terriers for bitey missiles than you can put in a trebuchet at incoming marauders. Introduce intelligent monkeys to mainland Britain teach them how to use bows and arrows, then start a war with them just for shits and giggles. The only motorised vehicle allowed is a Hillman Hunter estate. When I think of other ways to makes things better I’ll post them.
  14. So the ironing out of a few issues continues. I had an electronic issue linked to the big stop button on the top sorted, then complete loss of power, so I took it back and he fiddled with a relay on the left hand side of the motor (looking backwards) said it was poorly attached or something. Then this starts, instead of the stress control stopping the rollers they reverse for a second. Any ideas @Jase hutch @Pete B or anyone?
  15. Yes, go back to previous cuts, and yes, now is good.
  16. It’s entirely possible he will be acquitted, he may well have done nothing wrong. A strange arrogant twerp he certainly is, another thing he is (until proven otherwise) is not guilty.
  17. Here it is, the first arrow points to the stop itself, the second to the piece that couples with it to, well, stop it. this is taken from the side of the machine with the grab in (or nearly) in ‘toucan’ position
  18. Lifting capacity, whilst important, isn’t the be all and end all, an operator with some experience can move a piece of wood or drag a branch from a to b using different methods. In Arb very little is known weight, if it lifts it, it gets lifted.
  19. In your situation I would just take the chain to a shop and get a new one (or two)
