  1. Not as such broke up, we popped the engine onto the CS100 we had in stock (which had a failed engine) as the CS100 is worth three times more than the GMR. The GMR will sit pretty in our stock until we come across a well priced used 14hp engine. Spending £1,200 on a new short engine unfortunately kills a profitable resale. Don't worry, she'll live again
  2. Nah, just crack the plastic hand nuts and it’s swings down to the operating position. The lower pivot bolts bolts aren’t fitted in those pictures however... They are now.

  5. Only the motor which is just two allen key bolts, we cant get our 1/2" torque wrench in with the motor on... But if purchasing a specific torque wrench for TW150 blades at 61nm I would choose 3/8 wrench with a 3/8 driven torx bit so it'll slip down the right hand side of the motor without any trouble. Surely removing the feed roller springs, lifting the motor / feed roller up, finding a piece of material to jam it open is a lot more involved than unbolting the motor itself?! With a mechanical feel and understanding you can pretty much get away without torqueing anything but retightening to factory settings you can be confident its correct
  6. 3/8" one is best on those machines. With a 1/2" one and the torx socket fitted you'll need to remove the feed roller motor as not quite the space. Spray the bolt heads with WD40 and spend plenty of time picking the crud out of it prior trying to undo the bolts. most of the time they come out, we have had a few that need hammer and punch, this is only usually when the person previous has over tightened and not used copper slip. Don't use locktite either
  7. We have a used CS100 that'll be for sale soon... It is a 14hp unit minus an engine. We part exchanged it with a knackered engine, been keeping an eye out for a good used 14/16hp Vanguard engine but they aren't easy to find. At the right money we would be happy to just stick a brand new unit on and price accordingly.
  8. You should be able to get the make off the hub centre cap and find out the kg rating. Could well be an Alko axle. Even with uk roads premium brand axles shouldn't need replacing every couple of years...

  10. This is why GreenMech mainly went away form remote grease piping. There really is no substitute for directly clipping your grease gun onto a nipple in a bearing housing. It also gives a good opportunity for a quick visual assessment.
  11. Hi, remove the panel on the machine that covers the battery and feed rollers. Under there will be a couple of large round connector blocks in the main wiring harness. You have probably got water inside these. Unscrew the connectors, blow them out, pop a bit of Vaseline in there, make sure the O ring seals are present and in good condition and re assemble. This will most likely fix your problem. Any issues give me a call on 07881 027599 and I can talk you through anything else. Ash
  12. Just speak to your local GM dealer and they'll get a unit out to you... I was out with our 150p yesterday and the throughput over the 130 is mega. Over 50% increase in hp.... I think folk need to forget the early GreenMech horror stories, take Skoda cars for example...
  13. Why would you say the Forst is better Ian C? We carried out a side by side demo of the Arborist 150p and the ST6P recently. The Forst is louder and does indeed give the impression that its more of animal when feeding but general throughput is much of a muchness. I found the Forst does feed the smaller stuff quicker because of a heavier flywheel / quicker turning feed rollers but the GreenMech recovers quicker once in the stress control zone. I appreciate this video doesn't show identical material, I just stepped back for a moment and took a video. Customer purchased the Arborist 150p...
  14. It depends what you class as "local" Your nearest dealer will still happily post those parts at a competitive rate. And I bet in times of need they are in driving distance...
  15. We have just part exchanged a CS100 with a knackered engine, can be either sold as spare or repairs or will be refurbished with a new engine...
  16. Here is a small video I took a couple of weeks ago when demoing our 150P against the ST6P. Forst does have a slightly heavier flywheel so feels a bit quicker on the small stuff but the lighter flywheel on the GreenMech recovers quicker. Horses for courses on real time throughput. Same Vanguard EFI engine. The customer purchased the GreenMech and RRP is £13,500 ex vat. Forst warranty page states no warranty on feed rollers or paint?
  17. It really depends on the machine in question in my opinion. On one hand you can buy a solid machine, avoid the majority of depreciation and all is well... Or you can spend 10k (just as example) find out its a covered up nail, have several issues, no real warranty, loads of downtime and wish you spent that bit extra on a new machine which is brand new, has 3 years warranty and no financial gamble.
