  1. my email address is [email protected] Email me and ill reply with the PDF doc.
  2. Parts manual? file:///C:/Users/Workshops/Desktop/Arborist%2015-23%20Parts%20List.pdf Copy that ^ into your internet search bar if so.
  3. That’s pretty cool. I guess the only benefit in the UK having a truck mounted chipper and then blowing it into a tipper trailer is you can carry roughly 2.75 tonne of chip on a 3.5 T towing capacity pick up legally. If not double what you can legally have in the back of say, a transit tipper.
  4. If you had a huge amount of work where you didn’t collect the chip you could make a pretty awesome mounted chipper setup, self contained with no towing.
  5. As mentioned very tricky to do without some clever engineering. I guess if you have a flat bed truck you could mount the chipper in the back of it, feed from the left hand side and blow the chip back into your trailer. It would be hard to have the chipper low enough still. A Quad Chip with its under chassis removed and bolted through your floor would be pretty cool as you would still have the turn table! Still, a tipper truck and trailed chipper is best, unless there’s a reason to why you need a tipper trailer on site?
  6. Must be a typo?! An 18hp can’t be nigh on 2k more expensive? You could buy a 14hp one then buy a new crate 18hp Vanguard on eBay and still have change ?
  7. So the machine based on the CS100 is more expensive than the CS100? With no UK dealer network to be supported by ?
  8. Always wonder why manufactures tension the belts outwards, pulling the belts out of the pulleys allowing less grip. Strange.
  9. We've fitted throttle cables to GreenMech's under warranty before now. Think its practically the same assembly.
  10. Unless your belts are actually slipping (you should be able to hear and smell them If so) then this won't be your issue to solving the infeed issue. The pulleys will be all polished up too. Where in the country are you. Can you take some photos of the box? We had a TW150 in before which would feed ok for a bit then feed rollers would turn slow, reverse, forward and it would be ok for another few minutes. Turned out to be a loose pressure relief valve in the hydraulic valve block.
  11. We would be happy to go and view / write a report on a chipper in the south of England if you found something for the cost of our labour. Just an idea.
  12. That's changed now Ian, although it is still a bottom bar, its now a "floating bar" So instead of pivoting at the top and touching a couple of sensors at the bottom it now moves in parallel as one. You can now hit the bar at the top and it'll slide in stopping the feed rollers. Much better!
  13. The 19-28 has a bigger opening. It is a 7.5" machine with a 190mm x 280mm infeed throat. The TW230DHB is a 6" machine with a 160mm x 230mm. They painted the surround black to give the illusion of a big infeed. Two different machines... If you are looking at new road tow machines, also check out the GreenMech Arborist 200. The 19-28 road tow is still available but the Arborist 200 has some great new features and benefits for the same price. If you are looking at used, 19-28 road tows are a great bit of kit for not huge money.
  14. If it’s a soft core like a car radiator then yes. If it’s a heavy duty one like what you’d find in lots of commercial kit then nope.
  15. SafeTrak 19-28's are awesome bits of kit. Versatile, easy to work on, mechanically well thought out etc. The "poor reliability" as previously mentioned is most likely because they get worked to death on the rail line and often no proper breaks for maintenance. The contractors chop them in for new, the old units get sold on (often on eBay) and they're nigh on worn out. Time is money on the line and years of "make do and mend" repairs can take there toll. We see it all the time. We have two 19-28's in our workshop currently, 4 years old and 2,000 hours on them! That's some wood chipped. With so many more SafeTrak 19-28's being sold to rail than any other manufacture you naturally end up with a big pool of used ones. Nothing wrong with that, just need to understand what you are buying. Unless you want variable tracks, go for a fixed track. Its probably had a much easier life.
  16. We have a 2011 GreenMech 14hp CS100 in stock, great condition and this weekend a 2015 CS100 18hp coming in too.
  17. Disagree with TimberWolf, we blow the radiators out from the engine outwards. Before now if the radiator is bunged up proper and its a heavy duty core (ie not a soft car style) we have removed the radiator, prop it against a wall, get the pressure washer out on a sunny day and pressure wash the core until you get sunshine right through the whole core. It works a treat. Some times its the only way.
  18. Wonder if you could stick some pneumatic wheels off a fishing trolley on a wheelie bin...
  19. If you happen to have a CS100 you can chip directly into a "council" wheelie bin. Probably easier to move around and more capacity.
  20. Check your bearings, if there is any play at all, once up to full speed the forces can allow the blade to touch the anvil at the 0.5mm clearance. We have had this before. The anvil is on slotted holes and GM supply a feeler gauge to set the gap. If the anvil has been moved in to match the blade wear on one side then with the blade turned you may be a little close. We always remove the anvil and clean the underside surfaces prior to setting up to ensure correct assembly. For an "in the field fix" set the gap to 1mm, it should get you chipping. Don't Loctite the blade bolts in either...
  21. Engines will be more expensive no doubt for +25hp as its a more complex crate engine for the manufacture to buy in. -25hp diesel engined chippers shouldn't be any more. Petrol engines are cheap to buy, so there is currently a swing in machinery sales this direction. All of a sudden you can now buy a new, true 6" capacity chipper for 3k less than you could 18 months ago and tell your clients that you're safeguarding against future emissions regulations.
  22. Trailer for CS100 (or similar) still for sale... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264063608056
  23. Just bought this little stove for our showroom. 100kw output.
  24. TP had a electric chipper at APF. But I don't think it was actually working there due to a battery supplier change / issue. It's said it will do about 2 hours of chipping. Most domestic tree surgeons who hire a chipper for a day from us only usually clock 2 chipping hours on their days work. Electric sure is coming. Most carpenters, electricians, plumbers etc have no issue plugging in and using the customers 240v for their power tools... You could charge the chipper off the car charging point on the customers driveway. In a few years when its the norm....
