  1. Over 2k plus vat to get the red card, 9 day course, then you have to do the blue card after. All seems a bit much really. Has anyone done the nrops operators card? Is it more straightforward?
  2. Is it possible to gain a blue cpcs card without having first gained the red card? Years of experience and several in house type training days but now looking to up too a cpcs card.

A 17 year old boy/girl with a car license can legally drive a tractor and trailer with a combination weight of up to 31 tonnes with absolutely no training and be perfectly legal. 500hp tractor (no MOT) at 25mph and 31 tonnes, but he/she cant tow a trailer behind a car without adequate training. Makes sense....

  14. Should be taxed as general haulage (depending on what your hauling) The tractor can not be mot'd, the trailers however can and should be.

  21. Assuming 6kgs of timber in a net, 26000kgs in an arctic load, then 4333 nets, excluding wastage. Wastage depends on how good or bad the timber is
