  3. Rust in the back of the seals, tightens the grip on the ram.
  4. No, never had time, it's been one f up or break down after another. I will get round to it, was going to get a new radiator made for it.
  5. Well, it turned out the AC motor was actually a DC motor, and it didn't take very kindly being wired straight into the generator............ I had another motor on an old defunct conveyor, so managed to swap it over without to much trouble. Lesson learnt the hard way ?

  7. I've bought a conveyor with a 3 phase 16 amp ac motor on it. All I have is a cable sticking out of the motor, no switch or control gear. Where do I find, or what do I need, to make the belt variable speed? Any help much appreciated

  10. Seals only. Everything else seemed to be ok. Phone Clark's at Dumfries, they're a helpful bunch.

  13. Looks good. How comes the log deck is on an axle? Do you go out contracting?
  14. New thermostat fitted, made no difference. Pressure test was fine, so taking the radiator off to get a new core
  15. Larch log, Looks dry, sounds dry, but...... Moisture reading around the outside of the log is zero. Split the log in half and taken moisture reading throughout, excluding the very centre, generally at 10% moisture, highest reading was 18%, this was taken less than an inch off centre. Very centre of the log reads 28%. Thoughts/opinions?
  16. No not yet. I don't have the kit to do the pressure test myself, and iam waiting to hear back from a local ag engineer.
  17. No pitting or fretting. Head was not skimmed nor pressure tested. I'll try a pressure test on Monday
  18. No radweld, but could have had a mix of antifreeze. I'll clean again, but the first time was pretty clean, not gunky at all.........
