  1. I thought it was Alder when i first cut it, and i think skyhuck is correct. It is very dry, and the picture doesnt show the full colour of the wood. As said, it must be young, and very fast grown. The end grain was what put me in doubt, it is very softwood like
  2. Now this is an extension [ame] [/ame]
  3. It came in a load of hardwood. Any thoughts please?

  9. Bandit Beast 1680 for sale.
  10. Fair point on the waste, never looked at it that way.
  11. I wonder why they didnt go for a harvester spec chain and bar? Sharpening every 30 cube must be a bit of a pain?
  12. Do you get a full days cutting out of a 3/8 chain, or do you have to stop and sharpen it? Processor looks well built
  13. I have a 45kva jenny and use approx 30 litres in a 9 hour shift. Thats powering lights, two heaters, compressor and firewood processor

  17. I have a, UK Fuels, card. Costs 0.65p per month per card. They e-mail you on Friday to tell you the price of the fuel for the following week. You get an online account, so you can see whats been used and the costs etc and you also get an account manager, who you can phone if you have any questions or issues. They e-mail you an invoice every week, and take a DD five days after the invoice. It can be used in various filling station and fuel supplier depos. It can also be used in Tesco and Morrison filling stations. There is a fuel depo about 2 minutes away from my yard that accepts those cards, and thats the main reason i went with them.

  19. Aren't some of the large chipper trucks run this way?
  20. I hired a cone splitter from a hydraulics company and fitted it on an 8 tonne excavator. The cone was underpowered in my opinion, and the guy who hired it to me did admit that it wasn't the most powerful out there. Lasco m3 would be the one I'd buy. Three motors, so plenty of power. It is pricier, for obvious reasons, but well worth it in my opinion.
  21. auto reverse fan, this is for blowing all the crap off the radiator?
  22. Do you have any pics of the g30 the chipper produces?
  23. She's a fair beast [ame] [/ame]
