  1. Surprised they used the word "approx" I was told by trading standards, a few years ago now, that there was no such thing as an approximate weight. At least its in black and white, should weights and measures ever come through the gate.
  2. Thanks. Which make and model do you have? So many to choose from
  3. By trash, i meant sewage. Submersible pump. So i had this pump, https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-2inch-industrial-submersible-water-pump Problem with it was if a stone got stuck in the cutter, it would jamb it, and burn the motor out. I gave it to someone for a sot, explained the whole stone thing to them, and got it handed back to me buggered Just looking for a good all round pump, that will handle 99% of situations, that wont give me any bother.
  4. Is Eggs still the man for pump advice? Looking for a dirty water/trash pump, preferably electric, something that wont give me any hassle
  5. Interesting, as the exemption form posted mentions nothing of this. I dont see the part that says, goods that you own..... It refers to goods for the drivers use, and as stated, firewood is not for the drivers use. I also asked at which point do "goods that you own" become the customers goods? As they could have paid for the firewood before delivery. Also, if you charge delivery to deliver the firewood, x for the firewood, y for the delivery, couldn't this be deemed as being a courier?
  6. Folding canopy 3 x 3m. Aluminium folding pop up canopy. Folding FleXtents Pro. - Dancovershop UK I put one of those over my processor. Concreted four bases where the legs landed, and bolted on for pieces of box section that the legs fitted into. I then put bolts through the box section and the legs to hold everything in place. Open on three sides, with the back enclosed. Worked a treat. Trying to find a picture...........
  7. Do you have a video of this tractor and chipper on youtube? Looks very familiar
  8. With Deeside being the exemption, West coast softies. Harder breed on the East.
  9. Which exemption is meant to apply? The first one? "material or equipment for the driver’s use" If you are transporting logs, to sell to a customer, this is not for my use, me being the driver. These logs are for the customers use. Also, as previously stated by others, firewood is not forestry, so that exemption can not apply either.
  10. You only need a cpc if your a professional driver, e.g. your a full time lorry driver. If your a firewood merchant, delivering logs, you don't need a cpc, as driving isn't your "profession". That's what I was advised, by VOSA
  11. I had a Junkkari HJ500, very good chipper
  12. Britax High Powered Oval 1200 Lumens LED Work Lamp - EMC Approved I fitted those to my digger, and i think they are brilliant. They give off an amazingly clear bright light
  13. If your turn over is less than 82K, you dont need to be VAT registered. If you are not VAT registered, you do not charge VAT. If you are VAT registered, and your selling to the trade, i.e. retail outlet, wholesaler etc you charge them 20% (anyone who is not the end user) If you are selling to a domestic user, i.e granny Jiggins down the road, who is using it to light her fire, you charge 5% VAT (the end user)
  14. Try Wilsons, they usually have afew second hand machines on there website
  15. If your turn over is less than 82k per year, you don't need to be vat registered.
  16. What's the "about the same price" in Sterling, delivered to your door?
  17. Softwood sells, but the price has to be right, in my experience. I have no kiln experience, so excuse me if this is a stupid question/comment, but wont the kiln cause more of the bark to come off the logs, giving a quality issue? Certain softwoods can be a pain for this, even air drying. Ian guessing this will be a greater issue as your force drying. That's assuming your processing fresh felled softwood.
  18. How long does restoking the boiler take?
  19. B16 END is coming up for future auction. Also B16 BRA and B16 GOB. Just incase anyone's interested..... Global quick registrations search. Searches both prefix and current style registrations
  20. I'd like to see some pictures, thank you please
  21. Yeah that's the one Renewaljohn, it's on the Fuelwood website as well. This isn't a Heizohack? Slow way to make wood chip......and bad quality chip at that
  22. Yeah, shredded pallets. Came across on youtube. Its a machine made by HEIZOHACK. I didn't think the stuff looked good, but it must be alright if they say so....?
  23. Whats every ones thoughts on this wood chip? Good stuff for chip burners?
  24. Found it.
