  1. Yes, that is correct.
  2. That's the way I built my chipper. I had a Wallenstein pto chipper and got a Lister hr 2 engine for free. We modified the pto shaft and fitted it to the crank on the Lister. (Shear bolt for safety). Mounted it all on an old trailer chassi that has been restored and reinforced. Chipper and engine running at 1500 rpm 1:1 ratio. It is a beast. Blink and the brush is gone
  3. Welcome to arbtalk. There's not much that can go wrong on a cs 100. Make sure that the bearings on the drum are ok and regularely greased, drive belts should be checked, the knives needs to be sharpend or changed once in a while. General maintenance on the engine: Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter.
  4. This winch has all the features you may need: Igland AS . Radio controll is optional, but recommended. Pullmatic (hydraulic output of rope) is also optional, but handy when working on slopes.
  5. Stihl ms 170 with 12" bar, .050.
  6. He needs a bigger load
  7. Zubat 240 and sugoi 360.
  8. Yes, always.
  9. Jøtul is glowing red. Frost this morning.
  10. Sharp knives help alot. Adding rubber paddles on the disc will make it throw the woodchip further.
  11. It must be Metsaman's Norwegian brother.
  12. It's powered by the tractors hydraulic system. A separate hydraulic system can be added with a hydpump ran by the pto.
  13. Stihl 170/180
  14. I've got a 16" bar on my Jonsered 2172, 8 pin sprocket. Limbing is fun with it
  15. A tractor with a double drum igland winch will solve your problem.
  16. We do, but not to the same extent as you have in the UK. Hollow oaks are preserved, historically important trees, and calcareous lime forests.
  17. I guess you could call it a dead centre.
  18. Yup, most likely.
  19. I was asked by the local church council to take a look at these ash trees. Ø. 1.3m and 20 m tall. They want them removed by the end of next year.
  20. Prime with owatrol oil (anti rust), topped with two layers of enamel paint that has a little bit of owatrol oil mixed in it. End result: glossy, hard-wearing surface that is rust resistent.
  21. I use 12" bars on Stihl 170, 020t and 200t. I'm awaiting a batch of custom-made 12" Iggesund bars, that will replace the original Stihl Rollomatic.
  22. I recently bought a Husky hedge trimmer (same model as in the first picture) and it has been superb so far. Starts easy, razor sharp and very well balanced.
