  1. Short clip of my grey fergie. [ame] [/ame]
  2. Girdling roots seems like a very likely candidate for having caused the failure. My guess is that the tree was planted too deep as well.
  3. +1. Works every time.
  4. I had a good laugh when I saw the Husqy commercial in ISA Arborist news a while back. "STILL Frustrated? Get The Husqvarna T536LI XP" STILL in bold letters and Stihl orange.
  5. It is not mandatory, but recommended and most use Aspen or other brands of alkylate petrol.
  6. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by the stomata and oxygen and water is let out of the stomata
  7. I'm using regular ddrt techniques with my homemade throwing hook. I added a steel carabiner that i run my rope through.

  11. Hey. I just want to give you a heads up, qualifications from other countries are not necessarily valid in Norway when it comes to safety training. You may want to check with the labour authorities for more information. Faktaside: Working conditions in Norway

  16. Mount a large .404" sprocket on the engine and the chain will fly .
  17. Yes, that is one part of the reason they constructed it that way. The other is to get weight over the front axle. Empty it has a weight distribution of 60-40 and with implements at the back the distribution is 50-50
  18. I would say the correct placement of the stakes in the first picture would have been right under the first branch. Like others have mentioned, low is better, but chest height is often sufficient or right under the first branch (depending on the size of the tree). The material used for guying should have a width of atleast 1,6" or 4 cm. Guying should be tensioned to the point where you can place a finger between the trunk and guying material. The stakes should have a top diameter of 2-3" or 5-7cm. Stakes should be removed after 2-3 years.
  19. Scania with timbercrane loading brash after a pruning job. Picture 2: Teupen tracked mewp
  20. Try Økonomideler for Nuffield spares in Norway: https://www.okonomi-deler.no/reservedeler/traktordeler/nuffield-leyland
  21. Yes, you have guessed right. Where in Norway was this, if you don't mind me asking?
  22. Hiab or Palfinger hookloader with alu storage boxes mounted on the frame.
  23. Have you tried the harness without a swivel?
