  1. True that my case has cracked and 2 of the for close latches are knackered after 8 months of not much use. The tools are plenty good enough for me fixing my work stuff.
  2. Depends how long the day is as well
  3. There is another thread from not long ago with a link I think
  4. I don't drag my price down to match others.(not arb but still) I think it makes you look like you either were trying to rip them off in the first place or you don't know what your time needs to be worth. Just my opinion
  5. Have you adjusted the handles backwards? That will lower the head from a standing position. I do this when strimming banking
  6. I'd go to your local dealer and try some out to see if they are long enough. Is you 55 loop or cow horn handled? You shouldn't have to stoop with cow horn handles
  7. If you look on the crank case on the Honda there will be a set of numbers/letters stamped into the mould. If you get these you can google it and the spec will say what size shaft it is
  8. I've got a 37cc machine that runs Stihl square line (red) which is 2.7mm nicely. That's about £25 a roll (350m or so iirc) that should suit your machine
  9. I've recently bought one of these for £440 It's very good so far http://www.stigalawnmowers.co.uk/products/garden-care/trimmers/sbc-653kd-trimmer
  10. Hi there would it be possible to send it to me as well please? I have one too it's running ok but manuals are always helpful.
  11. Could you JB weld a thick ish wide washer to the back of it and bolt through that? Try l and s engineers for a fuel cap
  12. Business waste uk It's £14 per pickup plus vat
  13. From Kevin's link The presence of a CE mark should not be regarded as a reliable indication that such attachments are safe to use.
  14. Is that far enough with one of those? I seem to remember not long ago(it might even be Kevin's link as I've not looked at it) some guy was a long way from someone using a chain link strimmer head when a link came off and hit his neck (I think) and now he's dead. Not worth the risk IMO
  15. You pays your money and take your chance. It's up to you. I would not want to be near one in use
  16. Rather you than me that looks well dodgy. Just wait for the ball bearing to fly off and kill someone!! Unless I'm misunderstanding how it works!!
  17. Have you got a time frame in mind for finishing it or is it just a when its done project ?
  18. That's not good for the price they are. I'm tempted by some £60 ones on Amazon but I think they are too cheap to be any good!!
  19. Maybe you should see the doctor as that sounds bad! Are you a very early riser?
  20. I've got a metabo cordless drill which is good. Better than my old makita and as the other makita stuff dies I'm changing to metabo. No idea in the thicknesser but they are a good brand
  21. It's true that my dad always said to me "you can always make some more money" when I was skint because something broke!!
  22. I'd forgotten about those nematodes I used them once with very poor results maybe just bad luck I guess
  23. The white ones will be chafers and they have just banned the chemicals!! If you put a tarp over the top of the problem area overnight then take off in the morning they tend to rise to the surface and the birds love them!! Old trick from a golf course!
  24. I'd be interested too as I hate a 4 pot 1.5l kubota that I think is running a bit hot. No warning lights but reading just over 200 when working dropping down to 150 or so after slowing down. I'm thinking it may want a fresh thermostat as its on a mower and so runs for long periods in hot weather
