  1. I thought that's what you meant👍
  2. That's not what ivecokid means. What he means is that one of the blades is shaped like a hedge cutter blade. The other is like an anvil. It's hard to explain. I disagree with cutting twice as much as single sided in that sense tend to be longer so you get a big sweep I prefer them for most hedges. Also they are harder to cut yourself with in my opinion as you can't catch your legs on the downstroke. I'll try and find a picture of the blades
  3. I bought some and I kind of regret it if I'm honest as I say not bad for really small jobs but can't use them for more than 20 mins really. So I use for small pruning jobs.
  4. Meant to say thanks for the advice👍👍
  5. Not bad for very small jobs. They cut well and are light but the vibes are too high.
  6. The izys don't rust any more than any other steel deck mower probably less! I've got 2 had one for 6 years used commercially for at least one full days worth of cutting a week. They are as bomb proof as you can get for an inexpensive mower.
  7. Update all working now😁 for how long is anyone's guess!
  8. I have a 1200L bin emptied every 2 weeks for £14 plus VAT it's enough for me but then I don't take much waste away
  9. Depends if you want or need the cash I suppose. I would keep if possible as land will always rise in value
  10. I tried it a few years back waste of time for me just price tarts or that's what I found!!👎👎
  11. Got it off😁 looks clean so I will put it back together tomorrow and see what happens! Thanks for your help👍
  12. Do I prise it out with a knife? Sorry I'm not brilliant with carbs!!
  13. A picture of the inside of the bowl
  14. Could that be the black cap near the bowl?
  15. I've found some numbers on the carb but I'm struggling to match them up as yet. I will pop down in the morning and try and find an engine number if no good. I think I will ring a dealer on Monday and see if they have any ideas! Thanks
  16. Hi Neil I'm after a v twin 23hp with a bit of a weird spec are you an engine dealer?
  17. I've cleaned the carb out and put the bowl seal back in place (it was not in position when I opened it don't know if it sprang off when I opened it?) the engine was hunting and then cutting out as soon as under load. The fuel line was withered also so I've changed that and done this clean. It may work now but I'm not overly hopeful! Would a walbrough carb fit? I might try and Nick one of another engine that I know I can get parts for(I have s couple of Hondas in the workshop)
  18. Thanks both would I be better just trying to find a replacement do you think? And if so what type can fit it? Many thanks
  19. Hi can anyone identify this carb please? I either want s new one or a kit a the main seal on the bowl has withered. Also needs a new air filter. It say Tecumseh and 46 on the bowl and 187 on the bowl nut can't find any more numbers Many thanks in advance
  20. Big thanks to Bob apsenarb bolts arrived this morning. Better service than some of the online retailers!! Thanks a lot Richard
  21. The Hondas are expensive but good maybe a bit overpriced. The top end Hondas are overpriced as they are the kaaz clones which there are loads of cheaper but essentially the same. Not sure which other mowers are in 40kg category?
  22. Your right it's no good if there are steps. I use a little 18 inch Honda izy for those but no stripes. Steps are a problem because light mowers aren't that strong to take the abuse unless you can actually carry it. But strong mowers are too heavy.
  23. No doubt they are heavy leave a really good finish though!
  24. Have you looked at the 19 inch lawnflite pro? I think they are on suburu engines now but it may be slightly over budget. I've got the 21 and it's very good.
