  1. http://www.haheley.co.uk Being really thick here but what is crown cleaning? Like the site by the way👍
  2. Don't think so but may be wrong. Why would it help you if you've got to be in there anyway?
  3. Just say it will be done in "a day" or 2 days whichever fits the job
  4. I think that if you want to be a h and s person then you should at least have formal training and at least 5 years working experience in whatever field you want to judge on. I don't see how a one size fits all approach can work without the consultant just p******* people off.
  5. I just thought I try it as that is how I would look for it here in lincoln if I did not know where to buy from cheers Richard If i wanted a strimmer I would use the same search though on the assumption that if you sell mowers you sell strimmers .
  6. I see what you mean because that then goes back to cost, when I wrote that I was thinking about energy output per kilo or m3 or something along those lines. Maybe how much useable energy per unit. That sounds daft even as I'm writing it:blushing:
  7. I just tried lawn mower repair sidmouth And lawn mower sales sidmouth And you came out as 1st not paid for result(ie not in googles top bit) If that helps cheers Richard
  8. What's the cost of 1 of these? I'm having a new pick up in May/June and it looks interesting
  9. Can you not just put it out there anyway to start as a comparison tool and then see what traffic you get and then go back to the suppliers, maybe not as a price comparison but as a quality comparison?
  10. I'm trying to do more work for less customers this year. More time on fewer sites, less traveling so hopefully less stress
  11. It took me too long to realise that 10 good customers are better than 30 bad ones(just a percentage rather than actual numbers if you know what I mean) And anyway a £1 a metre is not bad money in itself imo
  12. Probably would chew it up just a thought Another thought could you not process in situ then at least you're not having to lift huge great lumps 3 times?
  13. If it's for a good customer then do it for best price you can, if you're getting a nice maintenance contract for it after it would be good to know it's been done right (ie by you) as then the maintenance will be easier:thumbup:
  14. Can you pull it out on chains with the truck
  15. Oh that would be far too much for him he could/does use some chip but nowhere near that amount. But I'll give him a ring later and see what he knows out there for dropping chip off, you never know might know the right person
  16. Not a chip site as such but my dads farm is nearby and he would probably take some now and then if that's any help? Just seen your location is it just a one off job? And if so how much?
  17. I don't even know why you would want someone anywhere near you if you can help it. I know I don't want anyone near me when I'm cutting anything in case the saw does anything stupid like bite back at me
  18. Not being in arb but having used a chainsaw I can't see why you would want to stand on top And squash the tree onto its self? Me being very thick sorry
  19. You've got to charge for it somewhere, easiest being getting a trade rate at a local nursery and then charging out at just under retail prices. Having said that this way only works if you are getting lots of plants or you won't get a decent price yourself. Otherwise you have to go in the customers time or charge the appropriate time if your doing it at the weekend. If your doing it in your own time stop now as people will just expect it and then tell their friends etc. yes you will get busy but not getting paid for it(the time spent fetching) will drive you mad in the end. The good customers will not mind paying the bad ones won't like it but you don't want people like that anyway do you? You must value your time because if you don't the customer won't either:thumbdown:
  20. If it pays for itself in 6 years then are you not getting about 300% over 20 years?
  21. Thanks for that sort of sums up what I'm thinking really, and as it goes I won't need to make much if anything from the tree work as it will open up the other areas which I can do myself/staff. I know of 2 or 3 tree guys locally might give them a ring and see what they have to say. Thanks for taking the time to reply many thanks Richard
