  1. Sod it rolling towards you had 10 inch bars thrown all over the place on a particularly springy load of larch luckily most of it was on the side furthest away from the operating lever!
  2. To be fair we always find deeper pits to work better! will ask the old man if he has one anywhere! Or to be more precise if he knows where it is lol
  3. Have a husqvarna 357xp that starts to bog down and stall when hot then won't start till its cooled down any ideas where to start looking? Also anyone know of a good chainsaw/ husqvarna service in Leicestershire area? Chears
  4. Can you run it with just 3 blades to see if it makes any difference as if it works as should with 3 then it might be part of the control gear somehow pulling it back
  5. Would definitely be interested in more info tank diameter door type and operating system would be helpfull also whether there is any fluid left in it and if so what type many thanks peter
  6. I might be confusing matters Im looking to primarily mulch but have the option to collect if the grass needs knocking down a bit first!
  7. I did wonder if I was looking at it backwards I did see some good reviews on toro multicyler mowers but not sure if these are domestic or pro machines and if the reviews are from long term users or someone who just had a quick play!
  8. Are there any good mulching mowers that can do a passible job at collecting? Many thanks guys
  9. Would be interested to know what the old girls lifted the forklifts we have lifted well above the plating but we always felt the pivot steers struggled but it might well be that we underestimated what we where asking of them
  10. We had 3 in a row before they stopped making them nice machine to use. found the centre pivot a bit light for what we do also regularly needed new fittings on the end of the steering rams as they tended to fail regularly. Also I doubt you will get anywhere near 4 ton on lift the rams would cope but you just lift the back end up
  11. Had both mine done Right at 23 left at 33 was back playing rugby after 5 months with the first one and 6 and a half with the second don't rush the start but you will only get out what you put in with the rehab also if you can get a cryo cuff get one makes a huge difference for the first 3-4 weeks compared to ice packs!
  12. all part of the master plan if you employ 51%of the population who will vote you out lol
  13. Push the gear stick to the side if it goes away it's the senser under the gear stick other than that no idea

    254xp bar

The 13" bar on my 254 is shot and needs replacing i'm mostly using it to cut softwood saw logs in half and am getting frustrated by having to constantly cut from both sides so was wondering what is the longest bar this saw can practically handle? Also i use it 1-2 times a month is a better quality bar worth the extra cost or are the benefits mostly longer service life? many thanks
  20. Anyone using any of the stihl battery tools and how are you finding them?
  21. Im looking at getting a hedge cutter and thinking of biting the bullet and getting a battery set then adding other machines later but i'm just wondering which set will be better across the range? I have been told that stihl offer a 5 year guarantee on the batters can anyone confirm this and what guarantee do husky offer on batts
  22. Hi there i have a fencing job to do that has a Hawthorne hedge that will need a good trim back some of the growth is 20 mm thick but most is 10 mm or under! I need to invest in some hedge cutters but will only use them 5-6 times a year so don't want to spend a fortune if i don't need to! Also what are the pro's and cons of single sided vs double sided cutters?
  23. Just wondering is anyone producing softwood bars within reasonable haulage distance to the midlands? Larch Spruce or Douglas preferred but other species considered
