  1. Hi don't suppose anyone knows where I would get a 9 or 10 inch tension gauge for benching wide bandsaws do they? Google just seems to show me something that measures the tension on the blade! Thanks
  2. Your missing a few thousand pages!
  3. Hi what model multi rip do you have?
  4. Sorry off topic but do you have any more of the mebor kit? We're considering one of there multi rips but it's good to hear from people with experience of there kit!
  5. Will there be a winner or will it be an exhibition match no scores no winner other than the respective bank balances of course
  6. I've had insulation burn it was packed round the flue pipe roughly 12-18 inch above the fire not sure if it was fibreglass or rock wool though!
  7. Good spot on the bearing and yes it is a multi rip not sure on the Lazer model but the manufacturer is z-lazer and it's the highest power you can have without a mandatory requirement for eye protection!
  8. Sharpening wide bandsaws is the easy part it's the benching that is critical and I'm told is very difficult to pick up I found it relatively easy but I'm probably lucky and have a natural talent for it!
  9. A stenner bandmill head rig with an artiglio carriage if I work out how I'll drop a picture of it tomorrow!
  10. In fairness the benefits of tipped blades is far more noticeable in softwood! My options are limited to tipped or swaged blades as I'm pretty sure they don't do a spring tip for a 7" body blade also not sure how they would cope with 60 m a min cut speed! Given the issues so many people have with saw doctors I'm wondering if I should invest in a setting machine (already have the grinder) and putting my bandsaw maintenance qualifications to work! If you don't mind what does it cost to have a narrow band serviced these days?
  11. Yes but they last much longer as long as you avoid stones, nails and general crap(although that's true of all blades)! Also assuming you can find a decent saw doctor to look after them!
  12. There ok I'm not a big fan of rigger boots so don't generally wear them all day,but there useful when I'm working on the pressure treatment plant at work ankle deep in treatment or when it's really wet lol
  13. Hogs make a Welly rigger boot hybrid
  14. True but in there line of work you've got to have a few screws loose in that department!
  15. Is he clever enough to have staged it there's no point killing a dead man after all
  16. Not really we use a big vertical bandmill! I think there relatively rare in the UK have seen some used ones in Europe but not sure how to ensure you get a good one!
  17. Mebor are nice but probably out of budget not sure what they go for used!
  18. I wonder how many MPs have held down a proper job these days not many I suspect and would likely explain the lack of ideas!
  19. I seem to remember somewhere cut re offending by 30-40% by banning all smoking in prison
  20. Probably because of the party she represents (or perhaps now represented) in some areas labour could select a goat and it would get voted in not that the conservative strongholds are any different!
  21. It's uncommon but I've seen a few with both I suspect most don't bother as they have a range of machines so don't need to!
  22. If it's bulk attics 6m would be minimum I'd be happy with (we have 7m) unless you get a toe tip bucket
  23. But how many of them made there money in the UK?
