  2. Slightly off topic but what happens when the battery is full if the system is not grid tied?
  3. Hey guys at what rough price point do budget splitters become acceptably good for use about 1 day a month? Also any tips on makes models to look out for or avoid?

  5. Think the biggest problem would be identifying which is the real one as opposed to the look alikes
  6. It's fairly simple no one was quite sure if trump would go through with his threats or not so most considered the risk greater than the potential reward whilst most are fairly certain of what biden will do so consider the risk greatly reduced!

  9. I think you will find that alot of solar companies are tied in with energy companies so you will still be giving to corporate profits of energy companies just from a different direction!
  10. Although unlikely it's possible that there post tax profit's haven't changed meaning that it was beyond there control! Also the figure by itself is just displayed to cause trouble! Have there sales stayed static or quadrupled as well what was there profit percentage last year? Most companies relying on fuel for there income took quite a battering the first year of lock down due to very limited car use! So whilst it could just be blatant profiteering it could also be a collection of causes allowing the press to present a sensationalist figure that is no whare near the true picture!
  11. Thats pre tax though what percentage has there profit gone up after tax?
  12. If they go to court and lose they get the courts sentence and the sentence that they would of been given by the magistrates on top!

  14. Had a tuff phone lasted 6 months very slow and laggy shame as there customer care was great
  15. Given that that's presumably a tractor up front is it really a big deal at the speed they move it's not like it's going to be thrown round corners?

I'm about to cut some larch/wrc to build some beds for the kids and get it dried locally but was wondering am I best to cut oversized components and get them dried or to slice the log into required thicknesses then have the slices dried then cut into components after also would 5mm be enough over for planing?
  17. I've got the Stihl one and it's great within its capabilities! But if I wanted to log up 14 plus inch logs all day it would be next to useless so they are good but like most other saws they are to a degree task specific!
  18. If done correctly I believe there sealed in the tank then heated Which forces moisture out then sucks the creasote in as it cools
  19. Oh that sounds odd we are struggling to get timber delivered because we don't take diseased so trying to find out what's required to take it as our suppliers have plenty of the diseased larch available
  20. Has anybody sorted the paperwork out to be able to cut diseased larch recently and able to point me in the direction of further information regarding requirements for a licence and the general requirements please Tia Pete

  22. They've been threatening that for decades the inconvenient thing is if they where right the first time then It should already be well over these places
  23. I think there on penalty clauses for under supply on some sites hence them buying and chipping good wood
  24. Most old sawmills have stenners lol they where the best of the best till they sat back and let everyone overtake them
  25. In my experience there's not much point in contacting stenner full stop as you can have the parts made before they come back to you! Any pictures of the old girl
