  1. There must be room in the prices to expand if it isn't then there is no point. So from now i will charge the money that is needed to. If i end up loosing out in jobs then so be it. This forum have been of great help to be able for me to get things right.
  2. The prices must be realistic, to keep a grinder going is quite expensive, even the fuel cost in a days work is quite high. I was thinking 290 a while back as a daily rate, now i see how out of order that really is. I do think a realistic number for a full days work with a 38hp machine will be nearer the 650.
  3. I'm not alone !
  4. The prices will be realistic from now on.
  5. Says it's sold out, that thing seems very handy
  6. Yes you are correct... I will work hard to get my weakness sorted out, honestly i'm thinking like this... Well this customer have a work and she is meeting this and that amount of people and she will leave word of me, and that will lead to this and that, and the common sense person in the house hold says, she/he will say she paid this and that so next will expect same payment so you get yourself in to underpriced routine. I feel things is starting to kick off so i must get myself sorted out.
  7. When clearing power lines in Sweden we walked in to aggressive bees that lives in the ground alot of times, they go in to your cloth and you end up undressing jumping dancing shouting in your underwear. If you go with a clearing saw and take away the small growth below big power lines you wont notice them till its to late. And then you are sorry !
  8. Sean.... Come and join me in world of warcraft, or battlefield 4, virtual worlds that can be very giving if you like the computing world. It could be a enhanced positive experience. I feel the need of helping you in any way i can. Best Regards Stefan Palokangas
  9. Yes she is good on that sort of things, she had a company running with her ex husband and she understand that sort of things. I'm a hard worker and i don't see the extra you need to take to grow at times.
  10. Yes she is the business head and to be honest i'm not, so i will get her more involved.
  11. My weakness is i tend to under price, i need to get away with that weakness !
  12. I will donate money in July and that is a promise ! The reason i can't donate now is fiance is booked up to Florida and i have to pay for it. I hope all is as good as it can be Sean.
  13. Takes over ! Was out pricing a job today and it was a stump in the front garden 40cm wide, climb some steps put some boards down to protect the ground. in the back garden been a hedge with 4 stumps reaching 30cm, and 20 small ones, i reckon the time involved in total is 2 hours. I say to the Lady i get back with the price i will think about it on the way home, i get the better half to phone up with the price "she is very polite and social compared to me" i tell her 100 £... She comes back to me says i told her 210 £ and she accepted it. ???????? She told me i'm under pricing all my jobs and it have to come to an end !!!
  14. No idea looking back, do the best of this.
  15. I made my side guard removable for this sorts of jobs on my predator, to be able to swing the arm near the fence.
  16. I would price that for around the 700 to 800 £.
  17. mine is small but maybe not as small as you need ? an predator 38rx, i'm quite near cumbernauld
  18. Big man getting bullied by the better half
  19. something stopping the fuel somewhere.
  20. I will play Perkele for him tomorrow
  21. Awsome, i give you a shout at some point
  22. Something needs done every day, even if it's just one attempt to get your name out there. To start a company is like trying to start a chainsaw thats been in the garage over the winter, you pull and pull and nothing happens to begin with, but you know in time it will start you just need to adjust it a little bit.
  23. Been in situations like that a few times, they are costly. I lost almost a full days of work, hire of chipper for the day. Nightmare. I told customer to deal with this, and then i will be back. when i came back they was still raging. but i just did the work, with god knows how many photos taken on me and neighbors shouting to each other. Not an ideal job. Some works is good to just walk away from.
  24. The amount of posts would be less, people like pictures and very little to read. Need to feed the pig what the pig wants.
