  8. when I fist came to Scotland there was a mom with her kid walking right in to the area we was taking down trees in, I put my foot forward try to stop them, I got reported to the police and had to go to the station and explain myself, I was let off with a warning.

  11. Well it's done, and they finished the job. I done a lot of welding on it myself, but this garage did the finishing touch on it, it's all rust treated now aswell. So this man and a spanner guy wont get anymore trade of me that's for sure.

  14. Hello there Ok, now I done quite a few jobs, I know what stump grinding is all about. I know to take my time and make a good job and leave a happy customer, got great vehicle for my machine, and have customers coming back from others. Now I would like some advice how to make this a main income, I just placed an add in a paper to see how that goes. I got two tree surgeons at the moment giving me jobs, hoping that to grow. Any advice where I go from here ?
  15. I got the Van back today, all is done now, but had moved it to another garage they finished the job in 2 days.. I was down to this other clown where I first got it to and did welding on it myself, and I ended up I went down there on Monday asked for the keys and drove it to another garage. Just took the keys turned around and walked away. What a carry on this been, I don't know how this guy is in business. I must been told 30 times that tomorrow, or Monday, or Friday, or I finish it this Sunday and get mot for Monday, and so on and so on, I don't know how I didn't picked it up earlier.. But now its done and I can get on with my jobs, I'm drained from this carry on.
  16. A break is a sin, and work till the job is done, if not on time continue till it's done and pretend traffic took up your time due to being late, that is how work should be done !
  17. Perhaps when i get my stump grinder going real good I will search for work as a groundie, I would be your groundie dream, I work every second of the day and only death separate me from success. And very fast and safe with the ground saw. My main job now I can't give up due to the money I need to sponsor my machine.
  18. There was days where my feets and hand felt like they was going to fall off, and the only way to keep them on was to work hard very hard. there was no breaks other then taking the food out of the pocket, put the water beside the camp fire if it was frozen. And have a lot of sugar in the water to keep you going. Thank goodness I have a stump grinder today and it's pure joy every minute of it !!
  19. I miss the days where I started up my Husqvarna 242 and had food in my pockets and water connected to a rope in my belt. Measure tape and a log hook. felled the tree, took the branched off it, dragged it to a neat pile some trees lending very badly towards the power line so using the Attack, the Attack is a 1.5m tall iron square or round, you can extand it so It gets longer and push the tree forward. Just make sure to let go of the handle when the tree touch the 20k power line or you might be sorry lol, that fine touch and the tree glides down the power line unlees its a T bar on top of the power line post, then it might get stuck. Run away with one foot always in the air, I so miss this days. After each work day visit the local shop walk like a zombie arms and back feeling like a sore bit of muscle, buy a lot of milk and protein, get back to the resting place, mostly a caravan at the power station. I will never forget the day when it was so cold minus 35 and the gas heater failed, and I slept with the cutting gear on, woke up and my boots was stuck to the floor due to the cold. managed to get the l200 started out to work and made camp fire to get the chainsaws going. from this I met a Scottish woman and I moved over to Ayrshire, things seems so soft here.. Started working for a tree company here, and what the ?? hell... folks climb trees here... I asked to fell the tree, but it was so risky they said, I felled it anyway. a tree and a huge garden, and they was scared it might go wrong., I wanted to tell them I felled 50 or so of them a day beside a 20 thouseand volts power line, and once a year it went wrong. And here it was nothing to hit.. They wanted to test me, Steff the supervisor put a coin on the ground, asked me to hit it, no problem ! spot on ! We do things very different in Sweden compared to UK, but we fell trees so many daily and here you climb, in Sweden if there is a gap we get the tree there, no matter what. The climbing is awesome in it's own ways, but I do honestly think you climb a lot more then you need to, there is a lot of gaps out there.
  20. Now I have came across a big obstacle in my journey to success, a want to be a mechanic ! had my van in for almost a month and had to hire a van to get my jobs done. Well just have to go and pick the van up and get the job done myself, what a letdown !

  23. Checked your webpage, and I can with confidence say I will order a logo for my company by you, and the stand for the candles are great !! my better half is out at at a quiz now will show her in the morning, awesome trade you got there Ian... my company was stump grinding direct ltd.. but closed it, and open Sp Tree care... We used to have a wooden crafting shop in Kilmarnock I bought a mirror and a bench to go below it, still got it and it's great looking, cant mind what we payed, 300 for the mirror and 200 for the bench I think... or shelf its perhaps better named, not easy being Swedish trying to manage this strange language.
  24. I seen your spider man lego, captain America in wood, how good is that, its great.. !! I know a woman having a shop selling all kind of things, she could have done buying things from you and put in her shelf. Do you mind me showing her your things on facebook, and contact you perhaps ?
