  4. I am sorry for my post I do get carried away at times and get to the extreme in my comments. I'm sorry Nick Burke, the last thing I want to do is to make any negative vibes to you. I wish you the best and I'm happy to help if I can. If you are up my way in Scotland Ayrshire please send an mail on [email protected] I'm sure I can get you a day here and there. Again I'm sorry.. I really can come out with the most daft things at times.

  6. thanks for the replies folks, managed to get it sorted.
  7. The advice from me. Get a job, you will get one somehow, somewhere. Keep on for a while staying on the streets for the only reason to save up money, to rent cost to much, save up money to buy a flat. Do understand the value of money and save your money, Do tree work, drag branches, climb trees, go and work for some other place after a day time tree work. Perhaps washing dishes somewhere, if you smoke, then stop it, if you do drugs stop it, if you drink stop it. Put up a goal, lets say 50 thousand to start with. Sit down for a few days before you start and tell yourself the future you have now, and get things done, prepare your mind on working non stop and learn how to enjoy every second of it.. Do not buy expensive food, with that I mean don't buy ready made food. I was without food for 3 days once in my life due to I didn't have the money to buy it, and I would never accept food for free, I rather die. so I do know how it can be in life if you are caught off guard. Main thing is put your mindset on the level needed to complete your mission. Don't spend a single thought on the words, IF, BUT, MAYBE. Do it !
  8. Hello I'm in a need for a course Lantra stump grinding ticket kind of Now ?? Any suggestions? been in contact with Barony Campus and I got the impression one could be sent over to my place due to I have the machine already. I was to be honest quite sure a ticket was needed if competence is high. But to get this 5 million insurance for my company I need to have this ticket. So the faster the better. Now is better.. Thanks
  9. The mind is a strange place, I usually get this loops when I wake up in the morning. Like I'm some sort of living radio.
  10. I used to not like outdoor, but after trying indoor for 7 plus years outdoors is a lot better. For many reasons.
  11. depends on how long it takes to save up for another tractor. I would look in to buying a new engine from Romania, should be possible to get one cheap.
  12. I wish you all luck over there, I hope you end up finding a good job.
  13. Also worth knowing.. Workers get pay once a month. Tree work at power lines is not being climbed. The tools we use to do tree related work at power lines is.. Chainsaw, Polesaw, a clearing saw. and the Attack. The first tool we use is the Clearing saw to cut down all undergrowth. Then after that 2 or so guys come after with a pole saw each and a chainsaw each. and One Attack... We do not climb anything at all.. There is a picture on one of the main tools we use. they can be as strong as 65cc some of them. [ame] [/ame][ame] [/ame]
  14. I'm born and have been living in Sweden... The two main companies doing the powerlines is Sydkraft and Vattenfall. Then you got smaller companies below them taking care of maintenance of the powerlines. I have worked with that for 10 years or so... I don't know if it's clearing trees, branches under growth away from the powerlines you want to do, or electricity work. But due to this being Arbtalk I would guess it will be tree related. If I was you I would go for the electricity board companies and try and get in to one of the teams they got, the private small contractors try and avoid them. I worked for the biggest private contractor in Sweden, and I don't have much good to say about that.. You might be away from home for 14 or more days, bad housing, a lot of work mates with drinking issues, and your pay will be up and down, some folks didn't even get pay. And expected to give them the world. The knowledge to precision fell trees hundreds a day is the only of value I took away from that experience. I recommend you to look for work at Sydkraft or Vattenfall, or any smaller local electricity board company. What you do is going to a place named arbetsförmedlingen, there is one in each town. And there you will get a meeting and they will supply you with all the addresses for every electricity board company in Sweden... Just please do remember don't go and work for any private contractor, unless you want a bad experience. I say that with a lot of weight behind it.
  15. Out did quite a few stumps today, driving forward and the left track didn't move, machine swing to the side hitting a massive big rock.. Had to open the panel and drive it manually if so to say. Only few things worked on the remote, took battery out and put it in again, and then all is working again, then happen again... same took out the battery and then it works... Strange this, need to open the remote up and see if it's dust or something inside it.
  16. For some folks without the drive for work, they see every opportunity to stop working. But workers with the correct drive they will complete working, even if it's just continue working tidy up, or go and knock a door advertise more work for you... There is workers and there is workers... I'm used to bitter cold winters, so cold so you might think you wont make it. I'm allergic to folks not doing 100% all the time.. If you suspect you could have got more done then you are possibly correct. Only the feeling of being happy after work been done is good, otherwise you need workers to say they are sorry and they do better next time. if not they are not any good. Might think I'm extreme but it's what Im used to and worked under that rules for many years, and that is my standards.. I say this and I mean it, I work till I die before I give up.
  17. Keeping in mind I started motor bikes at age 4 only.,
  18. Golf course reminds me when I was young, perhaps 10 years old, and it was this bay where golfers shoot over the water and almost all hit the water, I was diving there all summers to make money. learned that men went for the make and womans went fore the bright balls. it was this bunch of guys stole golf balls of me, I pointed the finger to them paddling out in the lake in my... what ever it's named in English, boat thingby. they shooting balls at me and I went back with my Husqvarna 125 and made the 18th hole a potato field !!!
  19. Thanks for the replies folks, I wasn't thinking myself it would make much of a difference. I am very careful when changing direction, and if needs a sharp change of direction I use a board. To befriend and keep information flowing with green keeper I must do. Thanks again for taking the time to reply guys.
  20. Hello folks Any of you have any experience working at golf courses with a tracked stump grinder ? I'm about to do get myself known at a few golf courses I understand a wheeled one would be to prefer but I don't have one Have any of you been turned down a job due to using a tracked machine ? Thanks
  21. Perhaps you would be a good stump grinder operator ?
  22. That's the nature of it, dragging branches and cutting them to size for the chipper, some cross cutting, use some lopping tools, for that pay.. It's up to you to lift yourself out of the position and grow in to a more suitable situation. There is a lot of guys out there with chipper/chainsaw tickets to do the job. The most important is to have a motivated climber. You pay the climber more and the ground workers less to be able to afford a good climber.
