  1. I once took down a tree in Glasgow a big oak tree must have been 10 trips with a transit van, i priced it at 1400 pounds. I took it down myself, had my dinner break roped up to me, fuel and ciggs when the packet runned out. One grounds men a ex whiskey worker from Kilmarnock. the tree was lending over the house, when i was out on the branch i was well over the middle of the house. But i managed to get this beast down in a very safe manner. just took my time. i could see in to the apartments of a 5 story house, hired a stump grinder carlton the big 70 something. was a school next to it, needed signs, so went a trip around the area and whoolaayy there was many did borrow them and put them out. the fire wood for this was crazy alot. If i was you i would price for 2000 pounds and make sure you get the monies out of the logs that will be your profit.
  2. Forgot to add, i'm in Ayrshire area. but can travel i don't mind seeing the nice Scottish country side since i'm Swedish and it would just be like a holiday trip for me
  3. I do stump grinding on the side from my main job. Got a predator 38rx
  4. HOME - Stump Grinding Direct Ltd thats my site
  5. i got a predator 38rx, got it new. the only thing against this machine in my opinion is the amount of fuel it uses. I drive the machine with care and have not stalled it yet. Easy to keep clean aswell, grease points easy to access.
  6. I run a predator 38rx, works very well for me
  7. If you need anything translated give me a shout
  8. I have a predator 38 RX, the machine is awsome. If you grind stumps beside a fence consider to create the side plates so they can be taken on and off so you can reach everything. good in slopes, goes everywhere. even in very small gardens.
  9. I will take your fair critical response aboard.
  10. I am amazed by the energy, if i can find half of this drive in myself for my business i will be very successful.
  11. I'm no here to drop the prices to trash, i try and survive like everyone else. Im at a work where it's hard going mentally. And i hope to see a stumpgrinder/van/chipper and the rest as a way out of that situation.. I'm just trying to get a foot in the market. But as i start to see it, it is only use if i take down the trees myself, aint much work otherwise. I'm hoping to get all equipment by summer next year. And in the time in between i hope to grind a stump here and there. I was hoping to do work for tree surgeons or fencers.
  12. more like 24k, i got a good job and i could afford to get one. I intend going back full time on tree surgery, get all the gear again. I need training on the machine so i can do it cheap now till i get up and running full time with the full service.
  13. Forgot to add my homepage HOME - Stump Grinding Direct Ltd
  14. Heya I got myself a stump grinder a predator 38rx also got a chainsaw. Been working with chainsaws since the age of 12 in Sweden, and done stump grinding perhaps 30 times. The work load is drying up at my daytime job so i got this machine to fill the space in the weekends... I can offer good prices due to this isn't my main income. I used to have my own tree surgery company and to be honest in time i think i will be going back to it again I'm in Ayrshire Scotland Thanks for your time
  15. I got a brand new predator 38rx, working a day time job and doing this on the side. So i can keep the prices low.
