  1. I wish you great success over there in my old home country.
  2. How much is it for one of these Jo Beau grinders ?
  3. Found a video with this wheel in use [ame] [/ame]
  4. The link works, seems like you can turn them and get more use out of that expensive tungsten material, where on other teeth you don't get use of the material in the back. I will order one and try it out. Thanks for the link Jesse
  5. A pair of cutting trousers could prove a good idea this chains is quite messy when they get a bite on your leg.
  6. I'll check if i can buy one of those wheels and compare them. If they are easy on the machine then it make sense to get it. Joshar, how is work in Sweden? I'm Swedish myself but havent been there for 12 years or so, i used to work with felling trees beside power lines for Sydkraft and Vattenfall. That was hard work !
  7. I have a stationary diamond wheel grinder, and a hand held grinder that i will put a stone wheel on for grinding the teeth, have not tryed the diamond wheel grinder yet tho, i think it will work fine if i modify it a little. I'm feeling quite exited entering the Stump grinding community and see how i will do in this adventure, i feel this line of work will suit me just fine. This Multi tip seems to work very good, but then again i haven't really much to compare with other then the machines i hired when i had tree surgery company, and they was not the same, they broke off all the time. I seen the Green wheel and it reminds a little of the multi cut system, the wheel is not round if you say, reason i use the multi cut is also the cost to change teeth. Some of this machines that got teeth on the sides of the wheel it is a arm and a leg to change teeth on them. and takes time to change, and takes time to sharpen them.. Multi cut teeth is quite big, i get a steady grip holding it and can sharpen it fast. Taking the teeth out the pocket is fast aswell.
  8. Clients with money is the way to go, professionals have a better understanding for profit. I was almost buying the carlton 5014, was very near buying it. This might sound picky but i stepped back due to the look on the remote and the fact it wont go where the predator will go. I think the carlton would grind faster compared to the Predator with it's 44 hp i think, and mine is 38 hp. Was looking in to the Predator 50 and 75 aswell, but they seemed a bit big, perhaps for a later date. I had in my mind i will do mostly private work in rich areas, i have done a tree surgery company before and i had my favorite places back then, so i hope the grinding will work in this areas. But i must say your setup looks very professional, tidy and clean.
  9. Jesse, that looks fab !! i heard that machine is great, and you can access everywhere. Same with your truck it will go anywhere, very smart setup indeed. Is that a Kohler engine on that machine ?
  10. Gray git, i looked it up the stock boards, they seem fantastic, but i must stop spending and bring some money in, feels like this have been a sink hole in the bank account so far. I consider it for later when i done few months of grinding. I have the safety screens they seem to work quite good, and wood boards i can drive the machine on so my footprint is very light. I aim to leave the garden in a better state then i arrived. The Flexible to mold to ground contours for sure must be a winner, i will find a trader and see them, have a look on the weight if i can easy lift them. I'm absolutely dying to get out and work with the machine i'm feeling as i'm suffering from inside sitting here when i could be out grinding ! And today the daylight was just to short. Was so much more i could have had done, was gonna ask the wife to hold a flashlight for me so i could carry on but i know the answer to that one !
  11. I cut up some wood for driving the machine if it's a nice garden, i don't want to leave machine tracks on grass, and could be handy if i need to climb some steps. The screens i need to order one more so i can cover the full machine like a circle, i don't like when the stump chips spreads out everywhere. Also when driving on a drive if you turn it to fast it leave rubber marks so boards can be good there. Been looking on videos on other stump grinders and i notice it's quite messy, one guy did a work in a graveyard with a grinder and it was chips flying in to flowers. So i think if i can get a reputation to be very very tidy and take the most of care of peoples gardens i might get word of mouth going faster.
  12. Bob i got screens towards the cab behind the toolbox, wood boards will be towards the toolbox, It's not completed yet, there is still quite alot to do, i have plywood boards in the garage that needs to be fitted on somewhere without looking unsafe. There is also an issue i might need to put some steel frame up behind the cap with mesh for safety, i will see what the garage says next week, but that could be good for to tie things on to it. I have never done stump grinding as a company before, so i guess i need to improve while i go along.
  13. I don't have a trailer, but i need to get one at some point.
  14. Out all day working on the Stump Grinder transport, painting the van, but need second layer of paint. Attempted to drive the machine on to the vehicle and it felt safe, got checker plate on, and toolbox, can keep the blower machine, chainsaw a pickaxe petrol in there. I add few photos..
  15. Caledonian, Qts they got there own grinder a carlton 7015 i think, i used to work there years and years ago. There is quite a few tree surgeons in the area.
  16. Martwizz thank you for a detailed reply, will help me alot.
  17. Going to look in to this job finder fee, thanks for the info Roboted
  18. I like the Job finder fee, and email, or even send letters to every single one in a 50 mile radius. Landscaper/builder/tree surgeon/golf course/fencer/ just about anyone setting foot near a stump. Would be nice to actually make this as a main income someday.
  19. Well can't wait to get started, you know this feeling you just can't wait to do something. The Van is almost completed going in for Mot next week, chainsaw, blowermachine, rakes, pickaxe, axes, brushes bags, all ready for rock n roll!
  20. Well spotted George !
  21. Simon i totally agree with you, don't be shocked if you see a man dressed as a Beaver knocking your door with a Swedish accent ! 22. Get well soon and all the best Sean
  23. Aspenarb, yes i got a list in the house of all fencers/golf clubs/tree surgeons/builders that i will send letters to. I had this machine from last years June, i just haven't got time to put the ship in the sea yet. But this year i will be having a go for it. I estimate it will take me a good few years to get myself known. Focus must be on leaving a happy customers every time all the time.
  24. I'm going to look in to how to get it showing
