  1. About 1hr 30mins. About 1/3 was rotten and soft which helped!
  2. Here's a big lime next to a foot path we did this week with the predator.
  3. I've got the Koni Heavy Track Raid shocks and they are awesome. They could be used on lorries or something. Perfect for a defender Tipper!
  4. Cheers, just ordered some. Will let you know how it works.
  5. Hey guys, Does anyone know how to get rid of leaf curl on peach trees. I've got two in my orchard which have been suffering the last couple of years. Thanks Nick
  6. I get the 47kg through a farming group for £43 👍
  7. I know a couple in Sevenoaks: Rawston hire have TW 150 tracked or road tow Oaks plant hire have a nice Vermeer
  8. I guess it's a learning curve for me to find the best way to be prepared for this kind of thing. It's difficult as a small Buisness. On one hand you gotta take first class care of your blokes. The other side is Iam not getting as many jobs done so the money isn't coming in. Maybe encouraging everyone to have personal accident insurance and have a long list of capable subbies to step in quick so at least you don't loose the income would be the best plan. Anyone got any other ideas?
  9. It's a right pain as he's a team leader/ climber.
  10. One of my employees has just broken his ankle at home at the weekend. He's probably going to be off for quite a while. He has got personal injury insurance. As far as being an employee what's the score with normal entitlements in this situation?
  11. If you get RPAX it will cover everything but income protection. It's fairly cheap and covers trips to sandy places as well.
  12. Hi chaps, I've got a Job to do in Eltham, London. ( out of our usual AO) It means parking the chipper at the side of the road / on the pavement. The road is wide enough not to disrupt the traffic. Do you need permission from the council to stop on red lines all times or just normal working hours? Thanks Nick
  13. Defo get the 28RX I've got one. The fuel cost between the two is massive!
  14. Iam with you Stefan. Cherry Picker for me to please
  15. I've not seen an upgrade yet. I've stopped using mine until I can get some decent Ear Defs for it.
  16. Here's the whole tree. Luckily the split stem is on the back only overhanging my field. Do you think a solid bar just above the split then a cable brace much higher with a bit of a reduction all round?
  17. I've got a large Oak tree at home which has a big split between stems. Would cable bracing work if I winched it back together? I really don't want to have to take it down.
  18. Only problem with pulling them out is getting rid of them all! At least with grinding your not left with big holes in the garden and lots of big stumps to get rid of!
  19. It would certainly be useful!
  20. Hey Sean, Hope you have a quick recovery, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! P.s Chicks dig scars! 😀
  21. Use Jacksons fencing. Comes with 25yr guarantee
  22. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=874272002634415 Useful!
  23. Hope your ok, what happened?
  24. I would say it can save 2hrs a day never mind a week! The amount of time it saves when chipping out a lump of concrete. Now I can just put the claw on it pull it out clean with out an hand vibration smashing or breaking it and so much quicker. Granted a heavy duty engine hoist could probably pull a post out, I think the main difference is this is designed to support the post as it comes out, then tip it back and wheel it around to where you want it. I would imagine there's not many engine hoists which would be a pleasure to push over rough ground. There's only two physically hard things with fencing. Getting the old posts out and digging the new ones in and this bit of kit can make it effortless which can only be a good thing!
  25. P.s. Hasn't seemed to pull in to soft ground yet
