  1. Just wondering if any one knows where you can buy a loler log book to make record keeping easy? Or do people just print out spread sheets? Thanks, Nick
  2. It's mega, eats brambles and scrub for breakfast. Can easily 2-3inc stuff. Bigger if you go really slow. Was going to hire a tracked chipper for removing some Hawthorne the other day. In the end just laid it down and mulched it. Some stuff easily 4inc. It's not that great at mulching conifers. Better with more brittle branches. Such a good bit of kit tho
  3. It's a lot of money but were finding more and more work for it we didn't do before we had it.
  4. It's amazing. As long as we go steady when its really thick it smashed everything. We just keep an eye on the exit side that it dosent get blocked by the roller especially on thick brambles or it drains the power. Find it amazing for doing jobs which would be weeks with a strimmer now take hours!
  5. They are rare. I know Cliff gets them from time to time
  6. It was second hand low hours and all brand new attachments came to 22k
  7. I've got the biggest one its the 532 Diesel
  8. Sorry poor description. The thread has rounded inside so the bolts won't bite anymore and the exhaust won't stay tight. Hope this helps. Thanks for the advice
  9. It seems the 2 exhaust bolts on my ms200 topper have rounded off. Any ideas of how to sort it?
  10. How long ago did you have trouble? I got mine earlier this year and have never had a problem getting hold of them. I am always ringing up to find out about buying new shinney attachments! Is this the number you had 01666 500123?
  11. Had the Boxer out yesterday moving big logs, was awesome!
  12. That is awesome! Would be cool to use a Chinook to lift it out in a oner!
  13. We have an Auger and 120kg Post Knocker for the Boxer. Amazing bits of kit!
  14. Hi chaps, One of my customers today said that this year for some reason that the seeds off Sycamore trees are poisonous to horses? Anybody heard of this? Thanks Nick
  15. I got mine from timberspecs. They make them to your spec fully insulated, double glazing etc etc. worth a look!
  16. Has anyone tried a superwinch Shark? Are they anywhere near as good as a Superwinch Husky? Cheers
  17. The best bit was when he passed comment about our work. One of my guys was holding a rigging line and he thought he had been holding me up the tree! Obviously not seen many tree surgeons at work!
  18. This week we were doing a job at an Esso petrol station at the same time as they were having some painting down. We made access to a conifer from a ladder then tied in and took the ladders down then sectioned a bit of tree which had collapsed on the roof. When we had finished the job the guy in charge mentioned that they weren't allowed to use ladders on an Esso site insinuating we shouldn't be either. I completely under stand that working off a ladder can be dangerous but using a serviceable ladder, safely footed to access a tree then tie on surely is widely acceptable? Any thoughts?
  19. Does anyone know what the value of a yew trunk around 900mm diameter 4.5m long and to who? Thanks
  20. The problem is the tree and roots now are passed the line of where the wall would go back. Any other ideas?
  21. Hi guys, I had a look at a very large Acacia yesterday with a TPO on. 1m diameter at the base. It sits next to a pavement at the side of the road in a front garden. The tree base is about 1m higher than the pavement retained by a brick wall. Over the years the tree has pushed against the wall to the point it is at imminent risk of falling down on someone on the footpath. Is there any option other than suggested removal?
  22. Can anyone recommend any good portable lighting kits for doing emergency call out work?
  23. I pay my unqualified guys £80 a day, groundsman Quals £100 a day
