Another reason why I don't employ anymore, to much hassle. I use various subbies now and it's a lot less trouble. If you have a good employee that turns up on time, lookes after the gear as if it were his own, cracks on with the job even when in supervised and can be trusted 100% then you are onto a good thing. I will never employ again. The government as usual screw over the hard working honest man making him not want to employ! Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

Anyone use a cylinder mower for domestic grass cutting jobs?

I started cutting grass at 10 years old, it was an atco cylinder mower with a villeirs engine, it cut my grandads lawn live a bowling green, it cut his lawn for over 30 years and looked superb, his mate down the road liked the lawn so much he asked if he could borrow it, my grandad tried to explain that the mower was set up for his lawn and would ruin the other as it had not been cut by a cylinder mower before, the weight of the mower helped compress the surface and give a good Finnish, he borrowed the mower and ruined the grass. If you have a firewood processor, do not use veg/rapeseed oil or bio oil in it as the mice love it, they eat through the pipes to get to it:) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

I went to take down a small plum tree the other day, 15 mins max, we did it on the way to the job of the day, I charged £25. The lady's husband paid me at the end and said I was to cheap and he would of paid 3 times that! He than said if he charged that much in his line of work he wouldn't make any money (chartered Surveyor). You just can't win sometimes, LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

I had a modded 346 Xp, not as good as my 2014 550 though. I got my 550xpg for £500 plus vat off my local dealer who will look after it, also a 2 year warranty which is good. I won't buy saws online as prefer to give my local husky dealer the trade and in return it gets looked after. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
