I've never had anyone come and do a day for me and use more that 5 lt of juice. When I used to hire my chipper out it was £100 per day and it included a tank of juice.

If some one came to me saying there £??? a day plus fuel they would be passed over. Day rate is day rate for what ever they bring to the party. To many people in this game not understanding what it's about.

I don't get people's hang up on fuel is??? If you bring a £500 saw and your happy to put fuel in it that you don't know when or how was mixed then crack on but if you care about your gear them mix your own fuel and look after your kit.

Well it's easy, bring your own fuel. No one subs for me and uses my fuel. Your saw your fuel, it ain't rocket science.

£20 a day and they must be able to do anything and everything for 26 hours a day. Ha,Ha. A good grafter bringing his on saw and fuel. £80-100 per day.
  6. Might be made of Swedish steel but it ain't gonna have been hand forged and sharpened in a vigins thighs.

  10. 4 of us won Thunderball Jackpot in 2004, £250k, I used my share to buy a tipper and a chipper and get set up in this game. I always say to people who moan about the lottery that you gotta be in it to win it!
  11. Damp, cold and grey here, only 3 jobs to make Bank today so should be done by 2ish.
  12. I had a 3120, way too big and heavy. I always took the 395 over the 3120, I then sold the 3120 and I've never thought I wish I kept it.
  13. A holes.
  14. You could go in as a partner, I would advise that your son needs to learn the ins and outs as much as you do or else he may never grasp running the company. Before getting trucks etc you would be best getting customers and building up rather than buying gear and not having the work for it. Does you son have any experience in working in tree work?
  15. I will buy all your stock at that price and then sell at £140 a cage no problem. Put your price up and sit back and wait.

    Nice truck

I'm not buying lads, I was getting the Landy wheels balanced and it was parked up next door, it was mint, I think the body shop next door had been restoring it.
  17. Really? Surely it will stain the paper of the filters??

  20. A good way to see that Ash has a low sap content is to cut it in summer and see how little sap runs out unlike Birch or Sycamore which floods out. I have customers who buy ash off me when I get it in so that they always have a stock of dry seasoned wood. when Ash is seasoned it is brilliant wood to burn, but then again and dry wood burns well, I have mixed kiln dried stuff that I got dried and you don't even need a fire lighter to get it going. Dry and seasoned is the key.
  21. This is my I well worn 1995 Gibson SG. It's seen some action as I used to be in 3 bands.
