  4. £15 a cube peace work round here, a reasonable cutter should do 10-12 cube a day in hardwood thinning for firewood I have done 15 cube days in a really nice block but I’m a bit older and more grown up now so don’t bust my gut for a extra couple of ton any more.
  5. The 461 is a hateful, heavy, unbalanced barstard of a saw! It will cut hard all day long but give me anything over a 461! The 500 is a nice saw to use but more expensive to run. my 46 sits it the shed most of the time. I go from 550xp to 661 the 461 can rot for all I care!!!
  6. The loader will lift higher than 3ft! But the forks would be usable back or front to suit the weight being moved and/or the height needed
  7. It is possible to weld a euro bracket to a lightweight 3pl set of forks and be able to still use the 3pl brackets giving the best of both worlds.
  8. It is possible to weld a euro bracket to a lightweight 3pl set of forks and be able to still use the 3pl brackets giving the best of both worlds.
  9. I’m sure if you google “pimp clamp faggot” you will get some fair pictures, feel free not to share them!
  10. With compressors bigger is better! Bigger tank stops if starting up so quick. High cfm means it will fill quicker (running less time) and be able keep up with high air use tools better.
  11. Just heard on the radio the lad has been released on bail and a 60yr old has been arrested in connection with the felling
  12. I would put a live feed from the battery to the solenoid via a small switch and a relay. This should get you running. add a fuse in there!
  13. The sub chassis for the tipper is not a mot item it is in effect part of the load!
  14. Do you have another private car? If yes the work one goes 100% through the books. If you don’t then your accountant will deduct a % to allow for private use. Some will tell you If it’s work only, It is of cause possible to stop at the shop on the way home. Or go or look at a bit of kit that’s close to your mother in laws/other family members place come visiting day every so often making it a work trip however I couldn’t comment on such things.
  15. I refuse to wear type c trousers. You can’t move in the bloody things and my opinion they compromise work positioning which in turn makes me less safe in the tree. We have had our risk assessments go through some fairly harsh assessments for some of the commercial work we used to do. Tell them bollocks until they can prove why. You will lose the argument for climbing at college, I come under the category of should know better and no one above me to sue so it’s my own look out!
  16. Evening
  17. @the village idiot is that you?
  18. If we burn all the cats in a biomass boiler we would get some power and a few more birds to keep the wind turbines spinning for an extra few months a year! Winner winner
  19. Morning all, can’t stop gotta get on!
  20. Could they register it as a non payment? which in turn could bugger you up next time you want finance?
  21. Don’t know the new t540 as my mk1 fell apart and husky refused to repair or replace it under warranty so not had one since! However I’ve always found a shorter bar better to climb with, once you get to big for a 12” bar it’s up with a back handle for me.
  22. I think you click edit on your original post
  23. Beal rope cleaner with there little wrap on brush followed by non bio soap in washing machine has always worked for me
  24. I get ya mick, was said to me as a kid “If One person calls you a idiot ignore them, if lots do maybe it’s time to think if you are being one”
  25. O/s marker? From way back when the maps were drawn by a gentleman in a bowler hat and his young assistant.
