  1. My karcher pressure washer is high vibes, I don't use it that long/ often though. The high pressure water going though the pipe causes it... I have a mower that is worse than most modern chainsaws. Vibes coming from an engine, would a 4 stroke like a mower, not be smoother than a 2 stroke machine? All cheapo tools seem alot worse than pro/expensive ones generally. Ok as long as not used for too long. I think the vibes on a chainsaw comes primary from the chain cutting but I might be wrong. Ive noticed more if you lower the rakers too much or the chain is not as sharp etc.... Recip saws have loads of vibes also some electric sheep shears do.

  4. Well ive noticed the makita has slightly more vibes than most modern petrol saws with springs. The virb spec listed on the titan is 6.3m/s More than most new 60cc saws

  6. One thing thats missing from corded saws is anti vibe springs. The makita corded I have isn't bad for vibes but doesn't any springs i don't think, so isn't as good as most new pro lvl petrol saws vibes wise. But I expect some cheapo corded ones might have alot worse vibes...... Vibration Level in m/s2 might be listed in the spec details

  17. Why not just upload the thing to youtube, or is the idea behind the webinar just a way too harvest user data for marketing the paided services?
  18. The guy with the old tractor mentioned a new flail for doing the encroaching hedgelines. He already has an old topper that isn't much good I assume its blades are blunt. Thinking he would need an offset/side shift flail not very wide ( 100cm) as easier for the low HP and with the hammers for brambles etc? Really he should probably just get a contractor in as has at least 60 acres.... in some place blackthorn and gorse has encroached over 25m on other hedges theres just 1m to 5m of bramble.
  19. Any ones that will do brambles / smaller blackthorn on a fergy 35?
  20. Nice. Any trouble sourcing spares or haven't needed any parts in 15yrs?
  21. Imformative posts thanks. Is the reasoning behind the the no shoot night regs suppose to prevent illegal shooting, or an animal welfare issue?
  22. I think it will be hard to get rid without weed killer. (though that may also harm the hedge) it maybe easier to just contain its spread with a root barrier. Though mulching with many layers of cardboard or using a weed membrane over the whole area may work. It would take a few yrs and you would need to cover the area the 100%, and keep checking you didin't miss abit. Hard to do around the all the hedge trunks but might be feasible if area isn't to large. The trouble imo with bark and grass mowings it will supress it initially but it will grow though it and feed the ground elder by improving soil as it breaks down. With ground elder its best to have zero tolerance approach or not bother. Otherwise you waste time weeding it etc, then its back to square one in a few yrs unless you removed every single tiny bit of it.
