Apparently a screen is cheaper to make than the all the buttons etc or something. I think i read an article on it thats its down to cost cutting? Anyways buttons are better: Buttons beat touchscreens in cars, and now there’s data to prove it ARSTECHNICA.COM Swedish publication Vi Bilägare quantified the problem with new tests. -
Its lighter & maybe has better quality bits & bobs than the other homeowner saws dunno if that justifies the extra price & shame about the vibration being more. I think it might be some issue with either the chain tensioner or oiler not working maybe as what else is there? Also a blunt chain that overheats perhaps..... 91PJ051X

Echo CS-3510ES/CS-3510AC? Very good power to weight. Unsure about the merits of ES starter systems or AC versions but might be a bonus if it works well? Can't find the data on vibes or chain speed? - but as its a new model should be low vibes looks good.

ms180 had bad vibes but i see the ms181 looks like its being improved loads with regards to vibes in the sales infos but not used one. Different saws different uses best to have both as if ones out of action so you aren't stuck. Even if you get the ms400 you will still need/want ideally a smaller saw for snedding etc? For alot of stuff the ms261 would be best most efficent saw for the job & get more hrs total use? But depends of the size of the trees you are cutting? Both a big jump up from the 024 which you sounded happy with.......

Got one fieldfare now that seems to be the same individual living under the hedge for weeks and it is very shy of humans- but he guards any apples and defends them from the blackbirds. I find my feet sweat loads in goretex lined boots so prefer non lined ones.

Dunno whats is so bad about wind turbines? One problem atm is blades are non recyclable that needs some fixing but supposedly they are gonna do that in future National grid has interconnects with the EU to balance power demand and generation also u can use pump storage systems like Dinorwic Demark has a system that thet must be some share of community ownership of them i think. Wether all the contracts to go to foreign companies is a seperate issue . Smaller turbines are less efficient - the local ones have being upgraded to larger versions on the same site But no reason you can't have both small and big.....
