  1. Have many ash tree tops looking like this atm felled a few of the worse ones.
  2. Trees dont like wind hence with a block of trees you see the canopy slopes up in height from the windward side, the trees there stunted compared to more sheltered location at the back. Maybe consider a hedge with another row of tree behind but then would block view..... Holm oaks seem slow growing and hornbean fast from what ive seen with beech inbetween.

I reckon the Cummings fiasco and him not resigning/admitting a mistake will has big knock on affect on other peoples behaviour may well make some people say f**k it to lockdown and go against current guidance.   5. Quite a big fire locally.Was told by an old boy that somebody set a load of fly tipped rubbish alight in the middle of a conny platation. Aparrently being burning since last night. 2 fire engines there doing relays for water. Everywhere is tinder dry atm.

  7. Dunno is just a cheap non brand one with yellow fibre handle thats decades old, & the head profile looks abit similar to this bacho. Mines about a 3kg head i think.   12. X27 is like a womens axe head is to light weight was very disapointed by it after all the rave reviews. Much prefer maul as don't have to swing it as hard on big rounds the head weight does the work for you. I use to wack at knots with the maul also but now I just noodle with chainsaw alot less effort.

  16. Yeah saw thoose metal wire brush ones anyone tried them? Whats with banned non aproved H@S issue gonna fly off and injure?? Same type of heads fit on drills & angle grinders.... Also considered the bio degradable line for general use as mirco plastics is bad etc but its about x4 as expensive per M and got bad reviews And as all car tyres and loads of other stuff are shedding plastic everywhere where do you draw the line withour becoming a cavemen.   18. @ About a quid each should of got a few thrown in free when spending £600 on a saw.

Local WT you need c31 etc and a volunteer wouldn't remove wood logs as dead wood is habitat although the wardens no doubt usually taking some logs home perks of the job etc. No oppurtunity for free wood if that was what you were angling after? Would open a can of worms with other volunteers if they saw you carting of logs anyway?
