  6. Is much willow for biomass still being planted or gone out of fashion now?
  7. Locally here they use granite 3/4 to dust for a proper job of sub base as that what the rock round about in the quarries are. Trouble with gravel it gets mixed with soil eventually so tonnes of gravel soil mix to remove and then replace with new. material.... Probably enough material is there already but not efficient to sieve it all ans re-use...

  19. Isn't it a gamble with frost? Had two eucs in garden yrs ago both got but by frost one has coppiced other died. Trees were over 15yrs old still got them. Was probable this exceptional cold spell Winter of 2010–11 in Great Britain and Ireland - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG

  22. 12m think you need some decent ladders or reduce height alot. ? Width is always an issue also sometimes people don't realize this when they get hedges 6m across the top. Leylandi doesn't grow from dead wood so may look ugly after a severe reduction though if it is just topped may be hidden. Makita battery garden stuff it good .

  24. What wrong with non natives if they grow well and provide useful timber. I'd like more sweet chesnuts coppice plantations but maybe climate isn't viable for them in north?
  25. What wood is it, and what are & how are thoose steel base plate things connected? Fancy doing a log shed like that seems an ideal way stopping the legs rotting off.
