Hi, well everyone has to have their one take on just exactly what is trying to be done to the world we used to know and took for granted, and which I believe the tide has turned on. I appreciate that not a lot of folk want to have to think about this stuff on a daily basis, but after 40 years self- employment and many hard times I pride myself in not being driven crazy... but to me the last couple of years really pushed the envelope of the narrative that they want me to swallow.. but I'm not biting and I know I'm not alone. I stand by my post and would reiterate that all around the world food production is being deliberately targeted with multi pronged attacks on a very efficient industry... I simply can't stand by and ignore what's being done to food production and the supply chain, amongst many other things. I don't know if you're aware of any of this, for instance just what's going on in Canada or the Netherlands right now... of course you won't be if you use the BBC, Sky or any MSM for your info as just about zero of real world news gets reported, just a lot petty diversional piss that keeps us arguing and divided. Anyway, all the best to you and your concern for my sanity, cheers👍

I'd say in light of what's rapidly going on today that statement is really all that matters at the moment and why it's not at the forefront of of everyone's mind in light of all the underhand guff that's not even being reported. The whipping up of spin around fake global catastrophes is blatant yet folk believe it.. just feckin bonkers, while these WEF brainwashed ' new world leaders ' are at the moment doing their best to disrupt the food supply by shutting down farming all over the world in order to create a global famine.. exactly the same as what Stalin did in Russia to gain complete control, and millions died. This is happening here and now in this country, farmers are being offered loads of dosh to stop producing food not to mention that the fertiliser crisis will cause many to go broke over this winter and.. ok, I know many will think this is BS but a wake up call is needed ffs.
-
Well if you were a rich guy with power in government.... where would you invest your dosh, it's got to be in a totally immoral, hugely successful scam that you've been lobbied to support for cash or similar😁

Just as a point of interest as regarding fuel going off, I recently had occasion to start a home owner Mcculloch saw that had been lying full of fuel for about 8 years. It was bought by a couple that live near to me to use for firewood but he turned out to a danger to himself and although she is hardy but has a small frame couldn't start the thing and they bought a corded electric saw instead. Anyway when they bought it I'd advised using fuel stabiliser and they got Briggs and Stratton Fuel Fit which from memory claims to protect fuel for 3 years .. so I was expecting to at least replace the fuel and I poured it into a jug took a look at it put it back in the saw which then started 2nd pull and ran perfectly. So a bit of a testament to the Fuel Fit product I'd say although it would have been E5.👍

The third idea / option wasn't any good for me.. as I'm the gardener and also the prick that planted the feckin stuff in the first place😁 To be fair it protected my caravan at that time very well from vicious winter easterly blasts, but after very slowly growing / spreading for around 8 years it just took off putting out suckers as far as10+ feet away, at which point I knew it had to go. So, for anyone trying to achieve the same result as quoted by Dan I'll just say that is exactly how I got rid of it and it did take a few years. The root ball of even a small clump of bamboo can be extremely dense so a small digger is probably the way to go and just to rip out the core of the plant and then spray any suckers when they appear as described. So I suppose to the OP I'd say dig as much of the root system as possible using a machine, rip out as many suckers as possible and then spray anything that comes up, but it would need a regular follow up to expect success as the stuff is ********* hard to kill. good luck

Used that all my life and for @stubby I still rely on Rocol's anti scuffing paste, the tins sit on top of each other on the window sill next to the vice. I don't know what the latest brand names are as I've still got enough of the old stuff to last me 2 more lifetimes. Another gem was Timesaver lapping compound, 'guaranteed not to continue to cut' was their usp green and yellow👍

Hi, if you have a 36" mill Oregon do a 42" bar that would maximise the capacity as around 6" is lost in mounting the saw in the jig, as for the chain a quick search on ebay has the bar with a ripping chain at around £200, I think if you go lo pro a 48" bar is available. cheers.

Yes, but the interest in these elements by those who would exploit us is the role that science has found in that they play a part in numbing the intellect and their ability to be used to control a population by creating Dumb cluck indifference. I totally agree that Iodine has a role to play in our biology and were you to cook with seaweed for instance you could provide your body with the source of raw material and rely on it to extract exactly the amount of this that is required... The truth of this is that, as you say, it would be trace.. and that may be only a maybe a couple of ppm as is common with trace elements but .not flooded in the drinking water. If you think about it, folk put bleach down the toilet to eradicate bacteria and at the same time our drinking water is sterilised with the same stuff which then interacts with the 'necessary' bacteria in our digestive system doing who knows what harm to the intended operation of the digestive tract . On top of that we let ourselves be persuaded by the toothpaste industry to kill off all of nature in our mouths twice a day creating the dental problems that persist in todays world. I know from experimenting on myself that very quickly after stopping using Fluoride toothpaste, my mouth and teeth returned to normal and any plaque for instance was dealt with effectively by the flora in my mouth which I was no longer killing off ... Drinking water can be easily sterilised with UV light and in some places like where I am in NW Scotland it is exposed to this, so why the need Chlorinate or Fluoridate or both ?? No brainer.... it kills BIOLOGY ...so ask yourself why when 'we' who are biology have been actively persuaded to consume the stuff for at least 2 generations... cheers.

Well I do know that the sweetener Aspartame was repeatedly denied access to the food chain until 41 years ago during the Reagan administration the criminal Donald Rumsfeld nobbled the panel of scientists who were preventing this and it flooded in everywhere and into all sorts of products being promoted as 'healthy' or 'diet' what a massive scam on human health. The scientists who were against this in our food had a good reason.. the fact that it caused holes in the brain tissue of the rats they tested it on and the microscope slides of this can/could be viewed with a google... a few years ago so possibly been removed today. Anyway, I have to suspect it's introduction to be a player in dementia, and if you can get through the crap there is a whole list of other disabilities attributed to this poison, but you are right the whole food chain is bastardised, cheers.

Aye, a bore hole would be a consideration to secure a clean supply, and not overly expensive.. but the spring water here is very clean👍
-
I didn't know this, but I won't be drinking it. Fluoride disrupts many systems in the body and brain and they know this.. one of the side effects of this is the misappropriation of Calcium which ends up in all the wrong places calcifying soft tissue all round the body and creating massive fortunes for the global pain industry not to mention the brain fog in society that lets them get away with it. Perhaps unbelievable to most folk but I feel lucky to have been able to change my life by understanding this👍

In the Highlands several natural springs so just go and fill water cooler bottles whenever needed.. in town just bottled spring water at about £1 per gallon, which I don't mind just to get clean water except of course for the plastic containers. The main thing for me is not to drink any of these bloody awful chemicals if I don't have to and the fact that they really don't want to reveal this info and that it took a FOI request speaks volumes.. I have next to zero trust in the motives of industrially fecking with things that we cannot do without and the long term effects of such. Here in Scotland luckily the water isn't Fluoridated but much of the western world is the opposite and I really don't think it has anything to do with the dogmatic lie that it's good for your teeth... I have my own opinion on the reason for this..., enough to say that I don't think that any of the Halogens are any good for the intellect not to mention anything else.. essentially they are poisons👎 For many years now I've treated tap water as grey and don't even put it on my veggies... as for processed food I avoid it as much as possible although that gets harder every day, cheers.

Control the food supply.. control the people, I don't think that the water supply is any different and I trust nothing that the dolts try to feed me, it's all by design, imo only. Luckily were not metered for water up here .. but regardless I don't drink it anyway... this is what's in Scottish water and it's not pleasant, so I just drink and cook with H2O and if it has dissolved minerals in it all the better👍 Chemical additives to water supply - a Freedom of Information request to Scottish Water - WhatDoTheyKnow WWW.WHATDOTHEYKNOW.COM Could you please supply details, broken down by month, of all chemical additives used in the mains water supply serving Ardersier from 1st January 2016 to December 2016. Regards...

Saw them three times at the IoM TT.. 79, 80 and 81, they're probably a lot better now with 40 more years practice and hi tech.. ..but I wonder what the MOD pay per litre ? during this designer crisis... Diddly squat I expect.

' but I don't work ' 😆
-
Aye, like many other natural things from the past it had and still has multiple uses, it's just that industry tries to create and market new and unnecessary products that don't really work any better, but as the generations slip by the old ways get lost or perhaps deliberately buried. I take it your girlfriend uses it as a flux, Borax also has this use and you should google it's lengthy list of lost traditional uses ranging from preventing wood rot to stuff that most folk won't believe cheers.

Same here in the NW trees dying everywhere, also noticing something that at least looks similar on some Rowan although I know they're not related. and also a lot of sick looking Sitka dropping needles and the tops dying out, first noticed this a couple of years ago but not many talking about it.. may be an Aphid 👎

Same as me, was buying Rotatech super sexy but was finding it a bit not tacky enough so just taken delivery of 40 litres of Gator ET 50 which I'm hoping will cling like I remember it used to. It was slightly cheaper dealing with Gator oils direct over ebay and a very good speedy service into the bargain and free delivery over £50👍
-
Haha, nope just a fitter, but a very large proportion of the work was for the Admiralty which meant clinging on to traditional practices, high quality materials and very tight tolerances, but the best part was being handed down skills from the guys who were nearing retirement who often would also pass on some of their hand made tools to you, some of which I've used all my life. Anyway I still keep a jar of fat from my roast Lamb dinners for the purpose. it works great but does go rancid and a bit stinky👍

Looks like a very nice clean thread👍 As I remember from my youth, Tallow was the preferred cutting lube for brass { rendered sheep fat ], cheers.

If it's any help someone put a 572 on Arbtrader yesterday.

Yep' I know that one of the reasons that Lime trees are everywhere in towns is that back in the days of the horse and cart it was known as 'tree hay' and pollarding gave easy access to this resource.
-
+1 for the spilt HSS die otherwise it's very hard to get started and I'd say a decent cutting compound but I suppose engine oil would do. Maybe rather than the chamfer you could give it a little bit more of a taper and you'll have to push down quite hard to get it started and once you get going give it small turns and back rather than just going for a single cut, good luck.

Aye, thanks for the link, at least LS only want a fiver for it whereas Husky want 15 and an arf AU dollars from the nearest place that seems to have one in stock in NSW 👎 If that Chinese piece of machinery was on my bench, I'd have that out and slotted in jig time, there really isn't any reason to Kowtow to a regime that tries to stop you doing basic simple and always needed adjustments.. from the 1st pics it would seem to be a 25cc 4 in 1 at £179 so not worth asking anyone professional to look at... although I've fixed dozens of these free of charge for friends and neighbours who also unfortunately continually buy crap for some reason😁.. no offence to the op. To put this into context, I first came across anti-tamper screws on basic stuff around 30+ years ago when trying to change a number plate bulb on a Rover car... I encountered rusted in screws headed with a triangular hole [ as if it wasn't awkward enough ] so I've zero respect for this practice when it's used needlessly in a wrong non critical application. cheers

The crimp connector is a good shout, I've done that before as well👍
