I didn't know this, but I won't be drinking it. Fluoride disrupts many systems in the body and brain and they know this.. one of the side effects of this is the misappropriation of Calcium which ends up in all the wrong places calcifying soft tissue all round the body and creating massive fortunes for the global pain industry not to mention the brain fog in society that lets them get away with it. Perhaps unbelievable to most folk but I feel lucky to have been able to change my life by understanding this👍

In the Highlands several natural springs so just go and fill water cooler bottles whenever needed.. in town just bottled spring water at about £1 per gallon, which I don't mind just to get clean water except of course for the plastic containers. The main thing for me is not to drink any of these bloody awful chemicals if I don't have to and the fact that they really don't want to reveal this info and that it took a FOI request speaks volumes.. I have next to zero trust in the motives of industrially fecking with things that we cannot do without and the long term effects of such. Here in Scotland luckily the water isn't Fluoridated but much of the western world is the opposite and I really don't think it has anything to do with the dogmatic lie that it's good for your teeth... I have my own opinion on the reason for this..., enough to say that I don't think that any of the Halogens are any good for the intellect not to mention anything else.. essentially they are poisons👎 For many years now I've treated tap water as grey and don't even put it on my veggies... as for processed food I avoid it as much as possible although that gets harder every day, cheers.

Control the food supply.. control the people, I don't think that the water supply is any different and I trust nothing that the dolts try to feed me, it's all by design, imo only. Luckily were not metered for water up here .. but regardless I don't drink it anyway... this is what's in Scottish water and it's not pleasant, so I just drink and cook with H2O and if it has dissolved minerals in it all the better👍 Chemical additives to water supply - a Freedom of Information request to Scottish Water - WhatDoTheyKnow WWW.WHATDOTHEYKNOW.COM Could you please supply details, broken down by month, of all chemical additives used in the mains water supply serving Ardersier from 1st January 2016 to December 2016. Regards...

Saw them three times at the IoM TT.. 79, 80 and 81, they're probably a lot better now with 40 more years practice and hi tech.. ..but I wonder what the MOD pay per litre ? during this designer crisis... Diddly squat I expect.

' but I don't work ' 😆

Aye, like many other natural things from the past it had and still has multiple uses, it's just that industry tries to create and market new and unnecessary products that don't really work any better, but as the generations slip by the old ways get lost or perhaps deliberately buried. I take it your girlfriend uses it as a flux, Borax also has this use and you should google it's lengthy list of lost traditional uses ranging from preventing wood rot to stuff that most folk won't believe cheers.

Same here in the NW trees dying everywhere, also noticing something that at least looks similar on some Rowan although I know they're not related. and also a lot of sick looking Sitka dropping needles and the tops dying out, first noticed this a couple of years ago but not many talking about it.. may be an Aphid 👎

Same as me, was buying Rotatech super sexy but was finding it a bit not tacky enough so just taken delivery of 40 litres of Gator ET 50 which I'm hoping will cling like I remember it used to. It was slightly cheaper dealing with Gator oils direct over ebay and a very good speedy service into the bargain and free delivery over £50👍

Haha, nope just a fitter, but a very large proportion of the work was for the Admiralty which meant clinging on to traditional practices, high quality materials and very tight tolerances, but the best part was being handed down skills from the guys who were nearing retirement who often would also pass on some of their hand made tools to you, some of which I've used all my life. Anyway I still keep a jar of fat from my roast Lamb dinners for the purpose. it works great but does go rancid and a bit stinky👍

Looks like a very nice clean thread👍 As I remember from my youth, Tallow was the preferred cutting lube for brass { rendered sheep fat ], cheers.

If it's any help someone put a 572 on Arbtrader yesterday.

Yep' I know that one of the reasons that Lime trees are everywhere in towns is that back in the days of the horse and cart it was known as 'tree hay' and pollarding gave easy access to this resource.

+1 for the spilt HSS die otherwise it's very hard to get started and I'd say a decent cutting compound but I suppose engine oil would do. Maybe rather than the chamfer you could give it a little bit more of a taper and you'll have to push down quite hard to get it started and once you get going give it small turns and back rather than just going for a single cut, good luck.

Aye, thanks for the link, at least LS only want a fiver for it whereas Husky want 15 and an arf AU dollars from the nearest place that seems to have one in stock in NSW 👎 If that Chinese piece of machinery was on my bench, I'd have that out and slotted in jig time, there really isn't any reason to Kowtow to a regime that tries to stop you doing basic simple and always needed adjustments.. from the 1st pics it would seem to be a 25cc 4 in 1 at £179 so not worth asking anyone professional to look at... although I've fixed dozens of these free of charge for friends and neighbours who also unfortunately continually buy crap for some reason😁.. no offence to the op. To put this into context, I first came across anti-tamper screws on basic stuff around 30+ years ago when trying to change a number plate bulb on a Rover car... I encountered rusted in screws headed with a triangular hole [ as if it wasn't awkward enough ] so I've zero respect for this practice when it's used needlessly in a wrong non critical application. cheers

The crimp connector is a good shout, I've done that before as well👍

Personally not seen that one before either, at the point you're at most would bin the machine and buy another which is exactly what 'they' want, all machines need adjusted after a certain amount of use and again they know that.. imo. From that pic you have several options that come to mind.. perhaps the easiest way to get it out could be to try a pair circlip pliers as the hole is eccentric, or maybe a very small easyout or failing that what about 'very carefully' super gluing a pin / nail in the hole and using a pair of pliers.. anyway once it's out carefully put a slot in it with a dremel or a junior hacksaw blade, good luck. PS. acetone dissolves CA glue. 👍

That's my thought as well, I recon with 20 acres you'll need a tractor with a loader and various attachments front and back.. so as have others said I would go for an older model with no electronics in as good nick as you can afford as the backbone of your operation and an investment that really won't lose value as long as it's maintained. That's why I sent that link as it would appear to be a bit of a bargain in comparison to similar buys atm where you'd only get the old tractor for that money or more. I bought my machine a year back in January[ Cat 303 ] , I hoped to get one for for around 12k but had to pay 15 in fair condition just under 3000 hours with a near new quick hitch.. 1 1/2 years later you'd be lucky to get the same for 25k and in a quick search last night there was one in UK similar for near 30k. I'd love a Multione or similar but it would be wasted on me [ old fart ] 😁.. so maybe a Fergie with a loader. Good luck with your search for the right machine[s], cheers.

I'm a bit sectarian with spiders, I'm fine with some and slightly arachnophobic with others... also after many years of wondering I managed to identify spider bites as one of the things that give me a big itchy lump.. caught it in the act but the strike was so fast it was hardly visible👍
-
Jeez, after a quick search I'd rather just have the slaters than any of these spiders😃 woodlouse+spider - Recherche Google WWW.GOOGLE.COM

Hi Andy, having read through your thread and everyone's thoughts on the matter I thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth { not a farmer ] .. but a couple of years ago I was in a similar position of needing some kind of mechanical muscle and although I have a very different situation to you I swithered endlessly between a tractor with a loader or a digger, both of which would be of help to me... in the end a digger in good nick ish presented itself to me and I bit. So in any case I spent a lot of time browsing and getting a handle on prices and was really surprised just how older stuff holds it's value and the rather large cost of an old tractor to use as a base machine for whatever equipment you want to run. Anyway, as I still can't stop looking [ needing a trailer ] this popped up tonight and I thought of your thread, now I know nothing about this model and I don't think it's 4wd and perhaps others would tell you to steer clear.. but in my journey of searching I just though that this was a very good price with the loader and the tipping trailer... I mean three years ago I looked at dozens of tractors around the same price many without the loader, never mind a tipping trailer. Now I know it's probably nowhere near you as you don't say where you are but this popped up tonight on gumtree and I thought it looked very clean for it's age, all the best with your project, cheers. Oh yeah, it's advertised elsewhere with vat.. Renault 68-14 Loader Tractor & Tipping trailer | in Ayr, South Ayrshire | Gumtree WWW.GUMTREE.COM Renault 68-14 Nice clean tractor & loader with dung grape 10600 hours Year 1987 Starts first turn and runs well Will go straight to work Manual shuttle Good tyres all round MX460...

local wildlife (fur,feathers and beasties)

😁 wind direction.. the Woody was sleepin and only woke up when he got a whiff of ya 👍 Joking aside, they're the flightiest birds around here probably due to being so tasty.. I'd say the Robin's the bravest bird in my garden but not much eating in them, cheers. -
This is well worth considering particularly by gung ho young guys... just about everything I've done in life was loud and Tinnitus is a proper bastard👍

Aye, tried one of these on my Kawasaki 43cc if I remember.. it was very good but fairly brutal and I took out one of my own windows with a very small stone from about 40 feet and put a dent in my car not to mention my shins, I think gators required. So although it's a very good tool and in a woodland situation is great and eats the rough stuff I think for small domestic gardens and around vehicles I still prefer the 3mm cord as it's more forgiving.👍
