  1. Another one for Norway.

    TRAQ to replace QTRA

Hi Paul, thanks for that. I saw that in the bottom suggested related links and remembered looking at it at the time. I'll have to have a cracking through it again.

    TRAQ to replace QTRA

Not seen TRAQ before. What is its unique selling point?
  4. There's a name for that! I'm sure someone posted about this very thing about 3 months ago!
  5. Contact JDB. They are well kitted out for shifting volume.
  6. 5 looks like a battered Photinia The leaves of 6 look like Pittosporum
  7. What a grim place for children to play, amongst the bins.
  8. He based his entire tensile triangle thing on the profile of his haircut. Any man who can argue in a court about trees and successfully relate it to his hair is a force to be reckoned with.
  9. Turning up for work drunk or drugged up is definitely something to be sacked off for. With drug-driving laws now, noone has any idea whether a spliff or even a pill will show up as positive if pulled over on a Monday morning. Once this has been tramped through the courts though, if you are legal to drive and if you aren't still smashed and you don't work on the railways, what you get up to in your own time is up to you imo.
  10. How many/much volume do you need to make it worth your while? (Hampshire)
  11. What's the hazard? Got any pics?
  12. Get pear to do all of that. Phone them up and have a chat with them. They are very friendly and helpful. You'll pay a fair whack initially and then there is a subscription fee each year for each module you use. If you are doing pure surveying and nothing else, you'll be rocking.
  13. There's always been vandals. If suitable sized trees are planted and guarded, job is often a goodn.
  14. Try and make it so it doesn't read like a trade catalogue. Keep it short and interesting. What type of visitors does the reserve get? Find an interesting fact about each tree. Imagine being 10 years old and being made to read it. Or being 70 and trying to find it interesting.

    Hernia

Yeah I had one in 2006. In and out in 3 hours. Was great. I was half desk based at that point so wasn't a huge issue for me. 2 weeks is realistic. The only issue I have is that if I get an itchy thigh, I itch it and it feels numb and I can't get rid of the itch, which is hard to describe! All good though, no recurrence.
  16. Nasty, get well soon!
  17. Registered to do the L6 this autumn. Wife mentioned the other day something about having a baby in September. Can't remember exactly what she was going on about but seemed to be something about getting swollen ankles and not being able to drink wine until this baby thing is off the tit. Unsure if what she is is going on about will have any effect upon the L6. Question is, does anyone know what my wife is going on about?
  18. You could possibly get away with drawing on the position of the fencing, stating it's design (Google bs5837 fencing images and copy/paste it to your document). Include the height, rpa and crown spread. State if you reckon you need any works to facilitate it, eg crownlift. Submit it up front, with some photographs. Say the fencing will be up before any construction starts and that you are happy for its position to be inspected by the local authority. Leave it at that and see what they come back with.
  19. Arranged it twice. Charged rate price for fells plus admin and local nature reserve improvement fund. It was more bother than it was worth. Won't be doing it again unless a cllr sweet talks me.
  20. That's fair game to spend time on I reckon.
  21. Yeah prosecutions are great fun. Just as you are catching up with all the tpo applications and planning consults and tree safety surveys everyone starts knocking down crappy lawsons in ca's and all the neighbours get flappy and want their skulls on sticks and million pound fines. I can see why loads get left with no further action.
  22. There's no clear guidance about the form a CA notice has to take. You don't have to use the 1app form but it helps from an admin point of view. So long as there is a work spec and a location then that would tend to suffice. Section 211 notices | Planning Practice Guidance
  23. Winner.
  24. Entirely this. Thank you.
