  1. How many staff/subbies I'm about that but for 3 teams, 7.5 tonner, MOG, 2 chippers.
  2. Last 2 days was dealing with these large Pops, one was riddled with Meripilus and lots of storm damage. Ended the day in the snow !!
  3. Reduction by one of my climbers today.
  4. You need to get a young persons risk assessment, also detail all the tasks he will be carrying out and have his legal guardian sign it. He's not legally responsible for signing his own risk assessment
  5. Yes it works fine, I had one fail and living in the exotic island of Moray they took 1 week to deliver. The engineer at redwood told me to play with the bolts till the bar was held out. Obvs you need to know you won't have a stop bar !!
  6. Do you mean the the stop bar gas strut ? If so then just tighten the bolts at the side with the stop bar out.
  7. About 10ft. I would of preferred 6ft but there isn't space between the stems
  8. Plus it's a lot harder to do and requires extra kit.
  9. This is the tree after a 30% reduction and thin, the chap is installing a triangular cobra.
  10. I've cut a few out and opened the wood at the part of the steel and there's little to no affect or damage to the tree. However I see a lot of badly installed cobra that either does nothing or has damaged the tree. More about knowledge
  11. I prefer using steel for fixed bracing and cobra for dynamic, this multiheaded lime has a weak union at the base so will have steel bracing with threaded bar drilled though the stems.
  12. Can anyone recommend a good online supplier of steel wire cable bracing materials please
  13. Good idea, would nice if there was someone who used SRT
  14. Covered how ? Insurance wise I'd say no.
  15. Finally got round to doing the beams, once I worked out the mini mill it was a lot easier. Got three 7" x 7" x 12ft oak beams going to use them for a wedding archway. Glad I had the hiab I reckon they weighed 500kg
  16. That's fair enough but have you ever tried to apply a tourniquet to the abdomin, groin, neck, jaw
  17. Forecasted for Christmas Eve this year
  18. Yeah that makes sense, was kinda hoping there was an easier way than setting the ladder 2/4 times. Going to try tomorrow
  19. I know how to mill a plank no bothers doing that. I'm stuck on making an oak beam
  20. Thanks for that I appreciate the help
  21. I have a mini mill, do I just mill the top as normal then sides then turn over ? Sounds too simple. I have had a good look back through the threads and can't find a specific video.
